Outside of North America Pixel Decals - a warning

After a really positive experience a few years ago, I had no hesitation in going back to @pixeldecals Pixel Decals for some new hood decals.

It's now 11 weeks since I paid for my order and there is absolutely no sign of anything ever arriving.

I've been patient and I've been polite and I absolutely hate to have to give companies negative feedback but this has now become a joke and it's not very funny.

I've been given the run around by Pixel Decals and I'm fed up of having to contact them (twice ignored) to find out what's going on.

I've asked for the order to be cancelled and for a refund - this takes minutes but I'm still waiting. So much so that I've now had to go to my bank so that they can get involved.

I'm sorry Pixel Decals but this is an appalling way to conduct business in this day and age. You told me that there was illness running through your household and then you were in hospital. I feel for you, I really do and I'm sorry for your poor health but please in future, just be honest with your customers.
Don't make promises you have no intention of keeping, it looks bad and leaves a really sour taste.

I recommended you to many people here in the UK and to other members on this and other Jeep forums but never again.

If this post helps someone else from losing a few dozen dollars then it's done it's job.

doesn't sound like you "lost" a dang penny; just got bent because you were impatient and didn't get a response to a couple of e-mails.

anyone who has been paying attention knows that PD doesn't always get stuff out quickly; but even you admitted to having gotten good stuff.

my last order took a few months to get, too. but i expected that, and the work is excellent, as always.

I dealt with PD multiple times around 2015 and they were fantastic.. The last time I ordered through them 1/9/23 I didn't hear anything until I sent a follow up email on 4/7/23 finally I got a shipping notification.. Not sure if its because I sent an email direct to Don or not overall PD has some great decals and their quality is top notch. Everyone has stuff come up or Human error happens. I wasn't in a big press so I overlooked it I was actually more concerned something had happened to Don!

I completely agree, their decals were great which is why I had no reason not to go back.

I dealt with Don directly and was told 3 times that the decals were either in production (first time) or would be sent out that day (second two times)
Clearly this was untrue.

I realise things happen, I ran a company for 35 years so I know exactly what can go wrong.
All I ever asked was for honesty. If the decals are going to take months to produce, let the customer know so that they can make a decision.
Their website still states 2-4 weeks not 2-4 months.

I'm sorry if I sound upset, what might not be urgent to some might not be the case for others.
What might sound like just a few dollars to some, might not be just a few dollars to another.

I had an apology yesterday which only came about because of this thread, that's too late in my opinion.

If you're unwell and you can't do what you say you're going to do just let the customer know, surely that's not too much to ask (or maybe it is....)

Anyway, it's done and over now. I've had them produced elsewhere and dispatched within 36 hours so all is good.
