As for the comments about cost...

The lift installed was about $2k, the tires were $456 each ($2,280), wheels were $299 each ($1,499 and I’m getting a $300 rebate). Plus I added the Mopar spare tire relation bracket and the Mopar tailgate reinforcement kit. And of course I bought a programmer. So yes, $8,500 for the lift, tires/wheels and supporting hardware that I wanted. I love how it looks!

I sold the stock wheels and tires for $1,350 to recoup some of the money spent.

I hope this was thrown in for free.

When you order a pizza do you refuse to pay for the toppings you selected because a cheese pizza only costs $10?
I don't refuse to pay, but if I want some really good pepperoni versus the greasy shit the pizza place uses, I'll put my own Boar's Head on the plain cheese pizza ( which I love cheese). Isn't this what most Rubicon owners do? Order a deluxe then start ripping off the pepperoni, sausage, olives, and maybe even trim the crust? :giggle:

2500 - lift kit/install
5000 - wheels and tires
1000 - flash/misc parts(adj track, etc)/misc charges

8500 sounds about right.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I know I would be bugged and lose some enthusiasm if this happened to me. With that said this is why I tell people not to do so many mods right from the get go. Go small first. Break in your Jeep a little bit and see what you got before throwing so much money at it.

Probably the very best advice:like:

Your telling me your calling him a sucker because he paid 8500 for wheels tires, lift, installs/flash and all supporting hardware + mopar tailgate support bracket?

That's a perfectly reasonable, average cost lol

Nope. Azz raped.

Mopar lift is less than $1500. I just bought 2 sets of nice wheels and 37” Nitto’s, mounted, balanced, new TPMS delivered to the house. One set a little under $3000, the other $3400.

So let’s say:

Lift=$1500
Wheels/Tires-$3500
Misc=$1000

That leaves about $2500 for install and taxes, shop fees, etc.

Azz raped.

Misc does not cover mopar tailgate, front rear track bars, stabilizer, or whatever else he may have got.

Your low on wheels/tires - he literally gave you his cost.

Just flash for tires is, (what?), $300?

Come on guy be serious.

You are defending this price so vehemently, I’m guessing you were also pumped in the pooper.

Grown people should be able to say ass.

Just because someone didn't get a good deal like you means absolutely nothing.

The Jeep isn't "too Fiat", you just happened to be one of the unlucky few who had a huge problem. I will throw in my anecdotal "I've had mine for 10,000 miles and nothing went wrong". You have to remember that the forums are a tiny percentage of owners.

OP, one other thing to consider: these endless visits to the dealer will show up on your Carfax the day you decide to trade it in or sell it privately.

That is going to prompt all sorts of questions, or require a discount.

I’m just venting here... I picked up my 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon on October 28th from Ed Voyles in Marietta, GA. Drove it 5 miles down to Fortec and had a Mopar lift installed, 37’s, and new wheels. Got it back a couple of days later and while driving it home I tried to adjust the passenger side mirror and it wouldn’t go up or down.

I took it to Ed Voyles on November 5th and they said I need an appointment, so I took back on the 7th and they couldn’t fix it. So they ordered parts and I took the Jeep home. It took a week to get a mirror. I took it back on the 14th and it’s still there. They’ve replaced the mirror, motor, switch, and harness AND it still isn’t fixed!

They’ve opened a case with Jeep. They gave me a very nice Chrysler 300 to drive, but I want my Jeep!

I’m so worried that it’s going to be grimy and grungy from all of this work on a Jeep with very few miles. Will it even still smell new? What about rattles? If they had to replace the harness, I assume that means they’ve taken apart the dash.

This is a $56,000+ vehicle plus $8,500 for Mopar lift, wheels/tires, install, and I’m not very happy with such a simple issue taking so long to fix.

On top of everything, my Jeep has the dreaded “vague steering”! They replaced the steering damper, so I hope that fixes it. My Jeep was built in late October, so how is this still an issue? Damn.

Thanks for listening...
Hi FFCars,
We certainly understand your disappointment and are sorry to hear about your experience. It sounds as though you already have a case opened with us, but if you need any additional assistance, please feel free to send us a PM!

I’m sorry you’re already having problems. All I want to do is drive my new Jeep so I know how much it must suck to have it in the shop for so long already. I hope the dampener fixes the steering issue. :fingerscrossed:
Hi Jennalee,
If you are working with your dealer to address the concerns you are experiencing with your JL, please send our team a PM. We would be happy to connect you with a Case Specialist to work with.
