My dogs were the same last week on Engineer, Imogene, and Cinnamon.

They think I’m God. Nothing could possibly go wrong with Joe in charge.

I don’t deserve that level of trust, but I nevertheless

appreciate it.
How does that statement go ? I want to be the person my dog thinks I am . You gotta love that !

Pics don't even come close to doing that area justice.

Btw.. there's plenty of other gorgeous places to wheel in Co away from the crowds if it bothers you...n stay away from summer wknds n holidays.

No question , Sage is a bully and a know it all. And yes she is a pain in the ass sometimes. But she is a brilliant bully and I wouldnt want to fish with anyone else.
Tenkara? Big fun.

What got you triggered, bro? I think most people would agree that tourists, many who have never been off the road before, renting Jeeps and going on trails in the Ouray/Telluride area are a risk to themselves and others. I also think the massive crowds that are forming on these trails are a risk to the trails, the environment, and the safety of everyone involved. I have one proposal, one I think shouldn't be very controversial, all rented Jeeps should be equipped with a flag (or some other obvious signage). This will indicate to others that the operator of that vehicle may not be as experienced and we should give them a wide berth. I'm not saying that you necessarily suck as a driver (although I've seen enough texas plates off trail I have my opinions) but that people in rented Jeeps may not be experienced.

EDIT: I should have said all rented jeeps and side by sides, those seem to get rented a lot by the inexperienced as well. Also; I would say this only needs to be applied to the Ouray and San Miguel counties. You don't find the same unique problem in many other places in Colorado. Although Bunce School Road area often has a lot of rented side by sides, the risks are quite a bit different there.
I like reasonable. Theoretically, anyway. Obviously not so much in practice. Thanks.

Btw, I lived in Colorado for more than 30 years. I ain’t your typical Texan, except in my tendency to bow up and fight.

That would work. It’s a great idea.

You should present that to the Jeep renters.

Peace.

Actually,
Never tried it but if someone handed me a Tenkara rod I would spend the day using it and cultivating another addiction !
I had to give up fly fishing when my right arm got torn off in 1980.

Just been flinging and cranking lures since.

Hell. It’s still fishing, though!

Tenkara has me back in the flyfishing game now.

Big fun! I’m hoping to try salt this winter. Reds. Trout.

Pictures are beautiful. I enjoy living here and unfortunately take it for granted from time to time. Sorry your thread got jacked by a bunch of fucktards who probably do their wheeling with remote controlled cars.

Right arm torn off ! WTF ! Wanna share that story ?! So youre going to take the tenkara in the salt ? That will be awesome. I was an inshore guide for 15 years on the west coast of Fl. ( Sarasota - Bradenton ) Sold the flats boat and moved back to Vermont because I wanted to chase small fish !

Got back from a week long adventure in Ouray, CO. It's my new favorite place on the planet. The views are stunning.

Looks incredible! Are there very difficult passes? Lift or lockers mandatory?

So while the thread is properly hijacked, can you (Sean) mention some areas around Montrose worth checking out? Trails with a challenge and a view? Drove threw there today in fact.

I might add (since we are clearly speaking freely now) that tourist like me on the trail annoy myself, and I enjoy the Alpine loop even though it’s full of instagramers now.
