Nobody likes dealing with a lighting failure, and nobody should feel like they’re getting the runaround when something goes wrong. I’m not here to argue opinions or gloss over anyone’s experience — if a light failed, that’s frustrating, period. And if the support you got felt less than helpful, that’s something we need to own and fix.

If anyone here still has an unresolved issue (past or present), shoot me a DM with your name/email/order number and I’ll get it in front of the right people internally. I can’t rewrite what already happened, but I can make sure you’re not left hanging going forward.

I appreciate everyone being candid here, even when it’s not flattering. It genuinely helps us improve the product and the support behind it!

Thanks for jumping into the thread @ORACLElights. I'm sure not easy given the complaints listed. Everyone I know who has a Jeep works really hard for their money and are passionate about their vehicles. It's part of what makes this community great.

I DM'd you my info. Hopefully there's something you can do to help and I'd love to report back positive news to this thread.

I noted this thread and the other thread the other day.... when the OP 1st posted them..

First thing I said to myself was ... why is @Craigger posting not just one thread but two threads regarding his tail light issue.. I thought geeez, all he has to do is reach out to the Oracle rep here via private message or call their customer service dept. and ask to speak to a supervisor if need be to get the issue addressed.

I know I have had a couple of issues with my Oracle tail lights and well, a quick call to Oracle, customer service and they were right in my corner so to speak. I was even past the warranty period.

See posts below where I comment very positively how Oracle handled the issues I had with their tail lights.

Anyway, Oracle does not have to be squeezed so to speak in order for them to back their products.
Very typical to have Oracle handle an issue just like they did @Craigger 's issue.

As for my Oracle tail lights... YES, I really like how they look on my JL. They have been on there for years.

Thanks @ORACLElights for a really decent product offering with very good Customer Service backing and also Thanks for being a long time JL and JT Forum Sponsor.

It's totally appropriate to post experiences with a company here. I went through normal channels and got the response I outlined. I wanted to let others know what to expect. I'm very happy with how this turned out but I personally depend on others' experiences to guide my purchases.

No attempt to 'squeeze' anyone and certainly didn't expect this outcome.

It’s good to hear about this kind of issue from start to finish, especially when it comes out well like this one appears to be going. Given some of the history, I have been a bit gun-shy about choosing some of the Oracle lights, regardless that I like the looks of them, based on reports of issues and customer support claims. And I live just down the road from them so I’d much prefer to support them as a more local business. Their response here is encouraging and this may be something more worth my time to look at again.

Really appreciate you saying that! If you’re local, we’d absolutely love for you to stop by the showroom sometime and meet the team. We have a full lineup of Jeep products on display, all lit up and running, so you can check everything out in person before making any decisions. Always happy to help however we can!

Has there been any product revisions to fix this issue permanently?

I'm on my third set since 2022 (original I purcahsed, and 2 warranty replacements), for the same failures...

I'm going to contact customer support again today to see if they will help me at all. I really want to love these tail lights, but the reliability seems to be absolutely terrible.

The only one that comes to mind was an early-days fix of dodgy sealing, where moisture eeked through one of the seams in a few customer lights. Mine weren't affected, but a few other early adopters were.

I reached out to their customer support and they are firm on their 2 year warranty.

I actually went through all my emails and i was actually on my 4th set of lights from them, i was one of the early adopters who ordered these immediately when they were released. I'm in Southern California so it barely rains here, the fact that it fails this many time due to water damage is insane.

The rep did not specifically say if this issue has been fixed aside from a generic response that they "made improvements over time". They want $260 for 1 light, or $440 for both new ones.

These tail light failures are tarnishing their brand's reliability, I guess it's time for me to cut ties with all things Oracle and give Morimoto a try next.

Good luck if you proceed with the latter brand. They look like clones of the Oracles, so I'd wager that their construction is necessarily quite similar.

Yes, I'd agree that you've given your original flush-mount tail lights more than a fair chance.

I am ordering Diode Dynamics. Not much more in price and come with 8 year warranty.

Headlights. Sorry. I saw a DD engineer post somewhere they were working on a flush taillight for the JL. One of 15 projects they are currently working on according to the post.

Not quite clones, the BSM faces sideways instead of rear so it actually still works somewhat. Will continue to test (abuse) my Morimoto tail lights and will see how long they last.
