My 23 Rubicon does not have the BSM (blind spot monitoring) and came with the regular halogen tail lights. With that being said, I don't like the idea of running a resistor for the Oracle LEDs. They get really hot and can cause a fire or cause things to melt.

Has anyone successfully changed the adaptation in JScan (trying to find the right adaptation menu) for the LED lights and set them to "active"? I say active because if my Rubicon did not come with LEDs from the factory, I'd imagine the LED tail light setting is set to deactivate. I have an OBDLink MX+, a 12+8 Chrysler cable and the JScan app.

If anyone could point me in the direction of the adaptation menu for the LED tail lights and the ability not to use a resistor, I'd appreciate it. JScan is awesome but is a bit of a learning curve if you're not familiar with the menuing.

I know if you have a Tazor Mini, it allows you to switch the lights from led to regular in the dash menu. Not sure if it will work or not. When I switched my halogen headlights over to LED, I went ahead and switched it in the menu system, not sure if I needed to or not. I too am getting ready to mount these same rear lights in my 21 Rubicon, but I have to remove the top, remove the Slipstream system just to get to the bolts I need access to.

Ive been running resistors in jeeps for years in the tail light area including the oracle lights with my current jl with no problems. They do get hot but not that hot and even if they did there is nothing in that tail light compartment that could burn that easily. Its good to be cautious but no need to be this cautious. You'll be fine

Set the JScan as follows under current setting no and restart all ecus. I’m available for questions

I'm running the Oracle LED's without resistors, I've been running them since they came out. I purchased them with the original offer.
Edit: 2019 Sport S, I did change settings using Jscan.

If you ditch the resistors, and don’t change the LCU to LED, you will be sending too much voltage to the light, which will result in a shorter lifespan. But hey, you’ve gotten 4 years out of them already, so that’s damn good.
I edited my post to reflect that I did change settings using Jscan, my bad. Thank you for the catch.

Hey ScotM, thanks very much for this! I’m adding the Oracle flush mount LED tail lights and this diagram will help me out a lot. I also plan to add the OEM Oracle turn signal and DRL assemblies too. Do you have the settings for them as well?

I have for turn signals. I didn’t do the DRL as uI don’t have the premium wire required to make them white. I know how to make them for amber. But anyway here are my settings for a sport with front turn signAl’s. The brand I bought threw a turn signal bulb out even after changing to led, so in my settings the bulb present is deactivated . I get no errors with these settings. The oracle may work with those 2 activated.

If you have a sport when you pick location choose turn signal. It’s been a year since I monkeyed with this, so be patient
Thank you! I have a Rubicon and it didn’t come with BSM or LEDs. I’ve already added the Mopar LED headlights. Got them to work including the halo no problem with JScan. Next, I’m adding the OEM turn signals and the Oracle tail lights. I’ll keep these settings in mind.

I have a 2023 as well. Trying to figure out if I will need a wire harness or not. Also, do you know if all led headlights will work, including 2024?

I have not tried on a 2024 JL yet (should be no different).... but have done the Oracle install on earlier model years JL's.

The installs I did were all on JL's with LED's. I just plugged in the Oracle Flush Mounts and did not use the resistor on each lamp.

Just prior to the install I did as described in this post.
https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/flush-mount-tail-lights.30902/post-837055

I knew it was prudent to do the JSCAN deed, prior to turning on the lights/prior to starting the JL that had the flush mounts just then installed....

Anyway, 4 installs.... they were done months ago... also did the install on my JL over 2 years ago (5 total) and never any problems with the JL's taking issue lets say with the Oracles flush mounts.
