Mine died today. Just two years out of them is all I got. I loved them while they worked, but now there’s $500 in the garbage. Back to the stock, ugly OEM LED ones. They work just fine, so it wasn’t the wiring. A true bummer.

Sorry to hear that. Please take a moment to fill out our online warranty request here: https://www.oraclelights.com/RMA and someone from our customer service department will be in contact with you shortly. Feel free to DM with me if you need my assistance.

Truly a bummer. Oracle got the profile perfect. But if the reliability is bad, it doesn't matter. I'm in need of a bit more clearance to clear a fuel can. Probably look into Morimoto.

Had both of my Oracles fail. One they replaced and the other they wouldn't. Failures were a year apart. Now I have the Morimotos. I will say if you have blind spot sensors the install is much, much easier in the Morimotos and they actually work. Had them for a few months so it's too early to tell about reliability. I do think they also seal better to the tub.

Thank you Terry, but I will will be forgoing doing that. I drive approximately 30k miles a year and apparently factory lights rarely fail. When I depend on my transportation so much for work as a daily driver, my LED tail lights are something that should last near the entirety of the vehicles life. I’ve got first gen 1157 LED light bulbs in my 1966 Ford Thunderbird that are still functional after 24 years and a first gen Phillips 120v lamp bulb that’s the same age working. According to this thread and the previous ones, I’m not the only isolated instance of your company’s flush mount tail light failures.

Peoples safety are more important than your company’s warranty claim and your product should be made to last more than the current warranty of one year. Most people wouldn’t even be aware of a nonfunctional tail light but as a CDL holder, walk arounds are essential and I noticed it from my previous stop in St. Loius Park to Uptown Minneapolis…a roughly 6 mile drive.

Do me a favor and send this to your engineers and your QC department and fix the issue at its source. Sending me a note to make a warranty claim doesn’t fix the failure of a very important safety component that affects every driver around me, my own personal safety and my family’s safety.

Well I was about to pull the trigger on a set of the Oracle flush mount tail lights, I mean why not they look so much better than stock. They'd go on my wife's '25 Rubicon X but after reading through all these threads on the issues they have now I'm second guessing this decision. Perhaps I need to look into the morimoto's? don't really know anything bout them. Thanks for your post, my wife safety certainly out weighs a slick looking tail light with a short life span.

Same. This thread changed my mind from "Hey cool!" to "Nope."

To provide a counter experience, I originally replaced my halogen reverse bulbs with diode dynamics LED bulbs, and those started failing my second winter (at first just flickering and by February wouldn’t light up at all). So that was like 15 months before they started to fail.

I replaced those with Oracle flush mounts, as they were the only ones out. They’re still going strong after several winters.

Now, my Oracle headlights have dead LEDs in the halos but other than that look/work fine.

Thanks for all the honest feedback here, it’s important for us to hear both the good and the bad.

Reliability and safety are critical when it comes to lighting, and while many customers run these flush mounts without issue, we recognize that hasn’t been the case for everyone. Anytime we receive warranty claims or product feedback, it’s not just handled by customer service, it’s shared with our engineering and QC teams so they can evaluate and look for opportunities to improve.

We know that doesn’t erase a negative experience, but it is how we continue to make Oracle products stronger.

Big thanks as well to those who’ve shared positive experiences here, it helps balance the picture. For anyone considering a set, or anyone currently experiencing issues, please know our team is here to support you. If you’d like to connect directly, feel free to DM us and we'll make sure you’re taken care of.

I purchased my Oracle Flush Mount Tail Lights in November of 2023. They looked awesome and did not stick out and get ripped off like the larger factory tail lights did on tight trails. However, in April of this year, about a year and a half after purchase, the driver side light failed. I reached out to Oracle and they did provide a 1 time replacement since it was out of the 1 year warranty (I did have to pay for shipping but not the tail light). Now my passenger side light is failing. In less than 2 years both of the tail lights have failed. Very dissapointing for a great looking product that worked so well for a short time. However, the price is not nearly worth having to replace them every 18 months. Too bad because I was so excited when I installed them.

I got my Oracle Flush Mount Tail Lights in November of 2021 through a group buy so I had them about 3 1/2 years when the pax side failed.
I contacted Oracle knowing I was well past the Warranty, I thought they might give me a break on the price of a pax side. They did offer a discount on a set but full price for pax side.
From the email I received:

- Passenger side taillight only order - $258.00 + shipping + Taxes(if applicable)
- Whole JL taillight kit with discount - $438.59 + shipping + Taxes(if applicable)

Like @Keith C stated above I came to the conclusion I didn't want to pay several hundred dollars every few years for taillights so I went another route.

This won't work for many people but I don't have BSM, I ordered my Jeep the way I wanted and all the safety stuff doesn't work for me.
I ordered Rugged Ridges flush taillights $300, I could see that they were a Grote style light. below is what came in the kit.

I purchased a different pair ($21) of lights on Amazon. I thought an oval halo type would look good. When they fail I can buy another pair for $21! I've grown to really like them better than the Oracles.

Installed mine on 1-24-2022, found out by another driver that they were not working today, thank you other driver. So I almost got 4 years out of them. Put the originals back in and they work fine. I have sent the support form in to Oracle, we'll see what happens next. I really like them, especially the backup lighting, but not sure I want to be checking to see if they are working all the time.

I love my Oracles, I have them in two jeeps but has swapped them out twice under warranty. I'm hoping there isn't another swap in my future.
