I used AUX 4 for power on and off. The hose easily reaches all 4 tires. The cargo liner conceals the compressor when not in use.

You might consider a remote mounting bracket for the arb coupler and a Teflon stainless jumper hose. I used a .5 meter (18") hose on mine. The length of hose allows the compressed air time to cool down before it reaches the coupler, so it and the hose fitting won't get pistol hot after use. Not only does it help avoid burning your hands, but the heat will also damage the hose over time.

I haven’t experienced that yet but I will take it under advisement. Thanks for the input!

How did you run the electric to the compressor? I’m guessing under the carpet, and through the firewall?

i don’t have a Jeep in my possession, the last one I did have was an 85 CJ7. I’m definitely going to do this ARB dual compressor when my JL arrives later this year, but looking for the best/simplest mounting/install strategy.

I thought about the Grimm off-road solution to mount it under the master cylinder, but wonder if road grime/mud etc would get to the compressor if it was there and lead to early wear? I know it’s probably pretty well sealed, but keeping it cleaner has got to be advisable for longevity, right?

I’m also super interested in finding an air-line solution that could give me a chuck mounted outside the vehicle, in the bumper or wheel-well. Something where I could start the compressor from one of the aux switches and then get out and run the air without needing to open the hood or leave the tailgate hanging open (we get a lot of mosquitos where I like to frequent). Anyone have any leads on something like that?

I installed an onboard air solution a couple months ago and installed the ARB dual air compressor under the passenger seat. It looks super clean and is completely out of the way.

My air hose easily reaches all four tires too. If you find the air compressor is getting in the way, take a look at the under seat mount that ARB offers.

thats actually really cool. Gotta imagine it’s a bit of a job to run the air line back there, but they say it’s a 30min job so maybe not?
I haven't done it yet, it's on my list of "Maybe's", I seriously doubt it's a 30 minute job just from what I had to go through to put a fuel door on mine. My compressor is rear mounted though so I wouldn't have to run a line all the way from the front.

This isn't my picture but I think the recent JLUR automatics might have these driver side firewall plugs for clean easy access. I would recommend you check your vehicle and make sure your installer knows they are there and you are both in agreement with all of the details of the install before any work is performed. Many of the old school mechanics will use a punch out and run the wire underneath the vehicle.
I use AUX 4 for power On / Off and did not use the ARB supplied switch.
