I’ve pretty much always used OEM filters; Mopar, AC Delco, Honda or John Deere preferring to stay with what the manufacturer originally installed. Figured if it was good enough to be originally installed, it was good enough to continue using. Over the last 50 years I might have installed a Fram 2 or 3 times because I just couldn’t find an OEM filter and didn’t want to specifically go to a dealership parts counter to find one.

That said, I changed the oil in my 2021 Willys the other night. I bought a Mopar filter as usual. I did look at the Mobil 1 filter which mentioned it being an extended drain interval filter and it cost about $1 more than the Mopar.

Current source? My guess would have been a division of Champion like the AcDelco's I use on my GM vehicles. Don't forget, the 2.0 uses a metal spin-on versus the 3.6's paper cartridge.

True, however, Wix changed suppliers, and that trickled down to the Napa Gold as well.

Nope, Mopar is a completely different animal. It has no similarity to others, that's why I use Mopar.

I use one of 3 in my Pentastars:
Fram XG
Fram TG
Champ Luber-Finer XL

All 3 are 99% efficiency @ 20 micron.

Using non OEM oil and non OEM filter are not the same. Using non OEM filter is like using non OEM spark plugs. Are non OEM filters and spark plugs better, probably, but I would want to stick to OEM

Well this solves that … That isn’t the same WIX filter in the video that I have always used.
This WIX filter (NAPA Gold 100010) is virtually identical to the Mopar 64 pleat filter in the video.

Mopar oil filter 339 is about $4.5 each at RockAuto. I just bought 20 of them
