Mopar oil filter 339 is about $4.5 each at RockAuto. I just bought 20 of them
You wouldn't be buying 20 if you had an EcoDiesel. Those suckers are $$$$.

I don’t see your logic. Especially when you’ll spend so much on oil. As a former engine builder, the stock filter does the job. Most efficient?…which is the purpose of the filter, to remove particulate, it’s not. New filter to new filter, it catches less AND manages to be more restrictive at the same time. That’s because of the economical media.
Toyota filters are notorious for not doing great filteration yet Toyota engines outlive their bodies. Because Toyota believes particles beyond a certain point are not harmful to the engine so why try to filter every molecule at the cost of flow. I believe Mopar has the same idea. Plus, during cold start and high load oil is bypassed, no filteration is done so why buy fancy oil filters. So my plan is to keep my oil as clean as possible, change it every 2000 miles, and change the oil filter and air filter as well. Now I will order a whole bunch from Rock Auto.

While under factory warranty Mopar oil filters for me.
Mopar filter is not some cheap crap, it is super decent. Its plastic skeleton is more beefy than every filter I have seen out there. So we can never go wrong with Mopar filter. Mopar makes very good filters. They make all kinds of them, even the gigantic ones for 6.7L Cummins.

Fram Ultra's filtration media might be really nice, but it's plastic skeleton is so fragile and cheaply made. In comparison, Mopar feels so robust

The thing is, that other brands have a limited sample of Pentastars, Mopar's sample is 13 million of them. So I will go with the Jeep engineers on this one 😁

Lets go Mopar 😃👍
Going to need you to add K&N to that list!!

While K&N doesn't offer a oil filter for the Gen 3 EcoDiesel specifically, they do offer an option for the Gen 2 EcoDiesels, And if you know what you're doing, you can get all the parts you need and successfully run a Gen 2 EcoDiesel oil filter setup on your Gen 3 EcoDiesel as I have been doing for the last 20,000 mi!

Jeep Wrangler JL Oil filter brand 1000007178
Jeep Wrangler JL Oil filter brand 1000007175
Jeep Wrangler JL Oil filter brand 1000007176
Jeep Wrangler JL Oil filter brand 1000007177

At this point, both of our vehicles, the '20 Subaru Forester and my '21 EcoDiesel Wrangler have been running K&N oil filters, reusable engine air filters and reusable cabin air filters... Shoot I even run the reusable K&N home air filter in our house!

Telling you man, K&N is a great brand! No issues with them for the last 15 years!

So yeah, I would love to vote when you add K&N to that list!

I got a spare second gen EcoDiesel oil filter cap if you want to start running second gen EcoDiesel oil filters!

If you bide your time, they go on sale every couple of months, down to $11.99 each. So for $100, You can get eight filters, which equates to 40,000 mi worth of oil changes. ;) :fist bump:
