I am actually a certified FCA tech, problem was there when the Jeep was basically stock. The mods didn’t cause the issue. Did you even know who Stellantis was or did you have to Google it?

When people say DW is a Jeep thing and get over it, or stab the brakes and crank the wheel real fast and it goes away,or you hacked up your suspension and you are blaming it on Jeep. I don’t consider any of that very knowledgeable. There are several sharp people on here, but they are not the ones making the smart ass comments either.

Or you don’t even need a stabilizer if the Jeep is set up right. Well that very well may be true on a TJ or even a JK. I would have been in the same camp two years ago, as a matter of fact I was. That’s the reason I didn’t do the buy back. I have literally pulled the entire front suspension out of a Jeep that drove perfect and installed it on mine and it didn’t solve the problem. Explain that?

I’ve only had DW twice, in an old Grand Cherokee that my wife drove, new ball joints and done, and on my JK, bent a tie rod off road, put in a new one and done. So I fixed mine with limited resources, what’s your excuse ?

Fixed it many times myself on my TJ, two Lj’s. Like I said come on down, sounds like you are pretty good at it. Show me what you got.

I fought the death shakes in my old bronco for ever, every bolt bushing nut I could think of was inspected tightened repeatedly... the fix eventually came from a motorcycle buddy, he told me tire pressure and rake were the keys. He learned this after he experienced DW on a bike at 85 which was induced by an over inflated front tire that rebounded like a superball after a bump in a turn. On a motorcycle rake is sort of locked in but on my bronco I adjusted as close to 0deg caster and problem solved. If you go back and look at old scouts they came from the factory with 0deg caster, likely for the same reason. There are downsides to 0deg but nothing as bad as crossing freeway lanes IMO. Anyway, free internet knowledge.

Sheesh, just looked it up and JL's have up to 6deg from the factory. I haven't looked into what it takes to adjust on these rigs but if easy this could be something to look into.

Yes, and everybody hates them. And the full-time four-wheel-drive. It’s one jeep thing that they messed up on. And I don’t have them on mine. CV boots are for cars. like IFS. Good for you sticking up for the guy who left to buy a Bronco. And dis on another Wrangler member. Good team work ?
