We can confirm that TSB 08-001-19 has been released as of Jan. 4, 2019 to address the following symptoms of 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLs:
• Radio may reset, turn off and then back on.
• Audio distortion heard during phone calls and Apple CarPlay
• Rear View Camera (RVC) display screen turns blue or green.
• Off Road App is missing.

If you have any of the above concerns, please discuss this TSB with your dealer. If you have any further questions, as always, feel free to message us.

I also heard this today from my uConnect "Case Manager".

Honestly, this is bogus and I agree with another above that eluded to this being a bigger problem.
Seems awfully "convenient" this released the day I got back on the phone. (Glad someone else here non uConnect is collaborating the date)

I would like to see someone confirm their version... (below) I have a suspicion its...
1. Still the June 2018 version thats been out... well since June. ;]
2. Not updating radios properly for months if it is. (and apparently still not)

I almost had this same contact line as Bones. Called around early Dec. Was promised an email with a file download in there. I have been following up blindly to unresponded emails up to today.

Here are the facts from other threads:
Original / old version:
>> SW Ver: 17.43.44
>> App Ver: USA-IR-19.9.0-20171026-I07G (notice embedded date code 2017-10-26)

Interim ORP version:
>> SW Ver: 18.23.29
>> App Ver: USA-IR-21.10.0-20180605-I09W (notice embedded date code 2018-06-05)

"New" version:
>> SW Ver: 21.01.00?
>> App Ver: ??? (Can someone post)
>> Or are they misinformed / misleading again and referring to App Ver 21 from last June!?

Remember you can get to this info: (Dealer Mode)
Press 3 simultaneously for ~5 sec
Press Hot (Red Up Arrow) + Cold (Blue Down Arrow) + Front Defrost

Bottom line why are we penalized to go sit at a dealership and waste a day for their faulty product / delivery?
Heck, just give us the file as promised.
Heck, you even have a web site setup for exactly that!? (and it doesnt work / reads "Your vehicle is up to date"!?

@JeepCares - My software version is stil 17.43.44. If I go to the dealership and get this fix will it update my software? Will I be able to get over air updates in the future or will I have to schlep to the dealership every few months?

If you go to the dealership, it will update your software version to the latest version, and you will still receive over-the-air updates in the future.

I think the execution of the off road pages has been terrible based on the horror stories.

Operationalizing these "off road pages" is just as bad. Why does this Off Road Pages tab require a lag while it finds it's GPS signal - that could be embedded elsewhere (I have NAV so it's redundant for me anyway, it already tracks my location when the vehicle is on)... as for my pitch and roll and oil temp, transmission temp etc, that should NOT require a lag waiting on a satellite signal, it should be instantaneous when I hit the Off Road Pages button.

Mine is working, but the way the whole thing works is klunky and needs a hard look. It could be SO much better.

However, anyone needing the JORP manual download can visit their dealership at any time, as it was just made available at the end of last week. TSB 08-001-19 has been released for dealers to perform the manual update using a flash drive, and they have access to this TSB through their online technical resources. At this time, if you call the dealer and request for TSB 08-001-19 to be applied to your vehicle, they can perform the repair once you bring it in. Can you please provide a picture of TSB 08-001-19? I want to be 100% sure my vehicle is within bulletin’s affected vehicle range before I spend a day at the dealer.

OP here....

Just got vehicle back from dealer. They replaced the 8.4 radio (wasn't receiving cellular signal). Software is now up to date on radio and Off Road Pages working. At this point just glad it's fixed.

No cost to you. I still say you chase the bigger issue of why the radio didn't receive the update over the air....but the TSB will get your off road pages working if that's what you're after.

Reference this Star Case with JEEP CARES - 101323601

Background: Didn't get ORP. Tried 2 times with UConnect trying to push update OTA. I did the suggested reset of personal settings both times. Finally realized the software on the radio was not the most up to date.

Dealer: 3 trips to dealer to collect info on radio and send to UConnect engineers. Determined the radio was not receiving cellular signal. New radio was placed on order. New radio has updated firmware and also loaded off road pages.

If you're having issues with getting ORP's, then the real issue might be your not receiving software updates. In the long run I think that's the real issue you want to have fixed. I'm sure eventually you will be able to download and install these software updates yourself but the OTA feature is nice to have fully functioning.

The Star Case reference above should have all these notes if you call Jeep Cares so you don't have to start troubleshooting from nothing. I'd suspect this is a wider issue than just my JEEP as others on this forum have mentioned the exact same symptoms and had no remedy.
