Off road pages again

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I bought from Prestige but they're farther away for service. I'll give Prestige a shot and report back when I can.
I just got my TSB update done this morning by Pollard. I called ahead and told them to download the image before I arrived. When I arrived, I fully expected it not to be downloaded but it was and the install took maybe 90 minutes total. Hopefully, the ORP will stay for good but based off what I'm seeing a lot of people have them for a week or so and then they lose them...

I lost my ORP the day after my 1 year free subscription to uConnect Guardian services expired. I emailed uConnect customer care about loosing them and here is there reply.

"Thank you for contacting Customer Care.

We are disappointed to learn of your concern with the Off Road Pages regarding your Wrangler Unlimited and I would like to assure you that I will do everything I can to assist you.

I have looked into the Off Road Pages further and have determined you are correct, you do need an active subscription with Sirius Guardian in order to be able to utilize that feature.
If you would like to resubscribe to Sirius Guardian you can do so by calling them at 844-796-4827

"Thank you again for your email Gregory. Have a great day.

Jeep Customer Care"

So if you dont spend $19.95 per month for Guardian services they will take the ORP away from you.

How the shit does that make sense. It's essentially a GUI display that shows the temperatures and other values readily available to other systems. Also, UConnect should buy everyone a free year of Guardian Services since I didn't get my ORP until yesterday (@JeepCares) :headbang: Too bad someone with a Tazer can't find a way to make our own ORP...

Was told that that didn’t apply to me, different version TSB 08-012-18 Rev C was what I got. Hope that helps someone.

Also, mine is a July vehicle, so I can’t confirm anything about Sirius Guardian at the moment. So far it’s working though.

The TSB they applied to mine on 1/28/19 was TSB 08-001-19 that was released 1/9/19. I assume since the last to digits are higher the TSB I got was newer. The 18 and 19 in the last two digits could also be the year the TSB was issued. But I'm just guessing. The main thing is you have the pages for now.

Man this is strange. I believe Panasonic makes the head unit but I can't believe that they made that many different software versions so quickly, such that we all have different TSBs but yet the data seems to support that.

Also, my ORP does have a load time latency and seems to be checking in with a server to see if I can actually use it. I did get a popup stating "ORP can't be used at this time, please try again later." Drove another 1/4 mile out of my bad cell reception area and ORP was back. This seems to back up the need for a Sirius subscription, the need to check in if the feature is enabled.

Would be great if @JeepCares helped clear this up a little.

Jeepcares had ne send them my VIN in a PM and said they are going to escalate it internally to get a definitive answer on what's goi g on. I'll post what they say if or when I get an answer from them.

Jeep Cares: Does ORP send an authorization request each time my vehicle is started? About half of the time, ORP is not on the display screen at start up, but finally is displayed a few seconds/minutes later. Other times, ORP is on when I start up.

Why would uConnect have any control of your vehicle’s configuration?

They push out software updates. Also if you notice when you start your JL after being park for awhile the icon where the ORP was will just be a capital U for around a minute before it changes to the ORP icon. If you try to select it before it changes to the ORP icon nothing happens. Someone else posted in another thread that anytime he starts his JL in an area without cell service the icon doesn't change to the ORP icon and the ORP doesn't work until he gets to an area with cell service. So it appears the ORP contacts a server somewhere to get authorization before they become active when you start your JL.

Darlene @JeepCares came thru. She investigated the issue and said the rep in Customer care gave me bad info in the email I received and I shouldn't have lost the Off Road Pages. They were able to do an over the air update to give me back the Off Road Pages. I didn't have them when I got off work but they were back when we left home to go out for dinner tonight. She didn't say why I lost them the day after my SiriusXM Guardian Service free trial ended.

Just had the TSB 08-001-19 done on my Jeep this morning, the ORP are working will keep my fingers crossed that they keep working. Take about 90 mins at the dealer.
