Today was the appointment to fix the issue, after a full day in at the dealership they came back that the radio needed to be replaced and they have no idea when they could have a replacement unit, could be a week but also could be several weeks.
For a radio? that's being shared across multiple vehicles. shouldn't these be readily available.
So no it will take a minimum of three visit to get the off road pages that could have come over the air a long time ago.
@BSw,

Thank you for following up with me. We can look into additional parts support. Please send me a private message for assistance.

I know how you feel! Hopefully they will get you fixed up soon. I canā€™t believe how long it takes to get parts in for things.

My Jeep has been in the shop for over 3 weeks. Took it there because I had to jump start it and because the charging voltage is always high. After two weeks in the shop I asked them to go ahead and do the update for the Off Road pages, and even gave them the TSB number. They called Thursday and told me that some of the OBD2 prongs were bent, and they asked again about the Off Road pages. They told me that they would get it taken care of and would call me back Friday. (Only place that has ever touched my Jeep is their dealership.) Well no call yesterday, so looks like Iā€™ll be calling them again Monday. Sure am glad we have another vehicle to drive. Iā€™m really ready to get into my Jeep again.
@MyWyomingJeep,

If you would like additional support while your Jeep is in service, please send us a private message.

I'm really feeling left out, I'm in NC, have had my JLUR since last May, and I still don't have the ORP..... All my friends with JLs ( that would be 9 other JLs) have the ORP, but not me. Last time I took it in for the oil change, I mentioned it to the dealer. When they returned it, they said it will download automatically.
@broncoman2000

If you have not received the over-the-air update for Off-Road Pages by this time, then the dealer will need to apply a manual update. If you call the dealer and request for TSB 08-001-19 to be applied to your vehicle, they can perform the repair once you bring it in. As always, please feel free to message us with further questions.

@JeepCares It truly is tragic that the Uconnect update cannot be downloaded OTA or by vehicle owners at home. I have twice tried to take my Jeep to my Service Dept. to only be told that "there is no update available." The second time I brought my Jeep in, I brought the actual TSB instructions which I got through this website and still was told "Oh well when I check Uconnect it says it's up to date." The actual service manager who schedules the appointments and checks the vehicle in said that the technician was being lazy and that he believed me that there was an update (also I gave him the TSB instructions so...).

The lack of knowledge by the Service Dept is incredibly frustrating so you either have two options. Let the file be access by users who can download it and install themselves or put pressure on the service departments to actually do their job. This comes down to laziness on behalf of Jeep and their employees and that's what was told to me by someone who works for Jeep

@JeepCares Darlene

Thanks for the offer! My dealership got me fixed up yesterday. Iā€™m happy to be driving my Jeep again. They ended up fixing some wires, and replaced the battery. Would have been ready Friday, but they had problems getting the Off Road pages installed. Everything works just like it should now! I really appreciate your offer!

@rizej,

I apologize for this negative dealer experience. I would like to document this experience. Please send a private message with your VIN in order to do so. To clarify, at this time, the update has not been completed on your Jeep?

Correct, the update has not been completed. I have had my Jeep at the service dept. twice for the ORP update. I will not be taking my Jeep back there because no one has time to take off work to deal with incompetent people. I literally gave the tech the step-by-step instructions for the TSB and he still said "Oh well when I check UConnect it says there is no update." Honestly, you need to find a way to release the software update to people who are still in need of it. I have already had a case open about this and was first told it would be an OTA update but then that was walked back to a TSB... The only thing required to do this update is a USB w/ over 10 GB of storage so provide it to the people who need it in a PM or by some other means but this is sad

I agree, many dealers have no clue about this or how to do it. It should be available for the customer to do, less aggravation.

Any idea on what I can do to get the ORP installed without having to go to the dealer for the third time for this problem?

@rizej

Thank you for providing the dealer. I am passing on this information to make sure they have clear communication on the proper procedures. As previously mentioned, if you do not receive the software update over-the-air, you will need to go the dealer to have it manually installed. Manual downloads will not be available on driveuconnect.com for consumer download until further notice. At this time, the only way to get the update if it did not come over-the-air to your vehicle, is to go to the dealer. I apologize for any inconvenience with this. When you return to the dealer of your choice, we can escalate a case on your behalf so that a case manager will communicate with the dealer. If you would like to proceed with this, please send us a private message with your VIN, dealer, and appointment date/time so that we can get a case started for you.

That's great to and hopefully someone will get in contact with them because I know they are a volume dealer and surely other people will be wanting what they paid for. Is there any way to have an appointment set up so that the service dept. has the ORP update already downloaded and available before I go back for my particular case. This is something that takes a long time (the file is 10 GB) and at this point I've already spent 5+ hours between two trips to the service dept. so I'm not interested in wasting more of my time on something that can be handled ahead of time

Must be a Autonation thing. Because the guys on Arapahoe were clueless as well.

Has anyone tried Prestige or Pollard by any chance?
Not yet I work in Boulder so I could try Pollard but I feel they will be "sour" that I bought my vehicle elsewhere so who knows how long it could take to get an appointment or what else could come up... Not much faith in stealership service depts :headbang:

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I bought from Prestige but they're farther away for service. I'll give Prestige a shot and report back when I can.
