I use the GAIA GPS app with the map displayed on the UConnect screen via Carplay or Android Auto.

I like OnX but until they are android auto or car play compatible I won't pay for it.

GAIA GPS app on my Android. I can now display it on my jeep dash screen. Takes a little to learn the program but is pretty sweet. I am sure there are other good ones as well.

OnX just started working though my Apple CarPlay. It's a bit buggy, I reached out for them and they said that are still working out the kinks. But it's there!

I am using an Android tablet and OnX GPS. I have a back up satellite receiver (Garmin InReach) to maintain a signal in areas where there is no cellular service. The Garmin and the tablet are linked.

Now that OnX is CarPlay compatible I may be switching over to that method.
