I installed a Fumoto about 20K miles ago, have done three oil changes with it. Total game changer.

It's a much lower profile installed than it seems it would be. I was less concerned about hitting it on a rock and more concerned about accidentally hitting it open, but with the little clip + how the mechanism works, there's almost zero chance of that actually happening.

Going Fumoto is an excellent way to go.. I have used on trucks, aircraft, motorcycles, Jeeps and more..
I also have Fumoto valves on most of my vehicles. An added benefit is they make taking clean oil samples extremely easy to send off for analysis. I’ve only sent samples for my ‘94 Dodge Cummins. To do that, I purchased a valve with a short nipple and capped it to keep it clean. Before drawing the sample I run a bit of oil to waste to flush it, then fill the sample bottle.

I've used Fumoto in the past but decided to put a Valvmax on the Wrangler. It may not be quite as clear an opening as the Fumoto but completely removes any anxiety over the little lever getting flipped open. I'm contemplating completely removing the Valvmax on every 20k oil change to flush any particulate that might be getting trapped, but that's really probably overkill.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the aftermarket options.

I've done one oil change with the Valvmax at this point and it was a completely clean oil change. Not a drop outside the pan.
