My wife has told me that three times now her Jeep will feel weird when its cold out. The way it seems is almost like there is something wrong with a tire. It will feel ike you are going over a bump or the tire has a flat spot. However, give it a min to get warm (about 1/4 mile or less) and it goes away. The tires themselves look fine and it only happens when the outside temp is in the 30s or below (so far that shes noticed). Any ideas on this? Thanks for the help.

My suspension feels stiffer and creates an odd sensation for the first couple miles when it’s cold out.

Took me off guard the first winter, now it’s just part of driving my Jeep in colder temps.

I wouldn’t worry about it unless it’s making the Jeep uncomfortable to drive or creating an unsafe situation.

It almost feels like a flat spot on the tire. Imagine walked around with one shoe on one shoe off lol. Not sure how else to describe it. Granted mine has never done it but mine sits in the garage.

Can’t imagine Florida temps being extreme enough to cause an issue. Have you checked tire pressures? Also, does this Jeep sit for any extended periods of time (days) between being driven? I’m strongly suspecting a tire issue. You may have a tire that’s trying to “flat spot” on you. Had a similar issue with a set of tires many moons ago. Couldn’t find the issue. Eventually one of the tires actually threw a chunk of tread?. Keep an eye on them.

Only time i have felt flat spot on tires is below -20 or so. Maybe it is a bad tire?

When I get up and it’s cold out side my body has the same symptoms. After a while to warm up things are back to normal. ?

Longest this Jeep has ever sat was a week. The tires have less than 3K miles on them. I have had a tire with a flat spot before myself but it didnt stop acting like one after driving 1/4 mile. It can sit out there all day and be driven in the afternoon and never have the issue again. So its a very odd situation for sure.

I am unsure how to tell if I do or not. These are our first Jeeps and my first vehicle with this large of tires as I have owned trucks with 33s. They are the stock BFG tires that come with the XR package.
