Compared to what? It's literally a set of D60s half price. That you don't need to grind bracketry off off. With great gearing for most applications.
I guess junkyard 1 tons are a better deal. Sort of.
Can get a set of ds trac 70’s with the brackets for about the same exact price

Haha. Far from it, I promise you that.

50% off any D60 like this where you have the option to weld on any custom configuration for someone holds a lot of value. The grinding and prep time on an axle that already has brackets is expensive. Buying several sets at a time, if available, keeps me from having to wait on parts and provides some price protection for me and whoever ends up with the axles. It's just smart inventory management is all.

The sale is only on 4.88 axles, however, which is going to be my hang up. I've got to call a couple different people at Northridge today to see what they have in stock for the 5.38 sets and go from there.

I was noticing that they were only 4.88, that kinda sucks….. probably over 90 percent of guys go to tons to run 40s and 4.88 not optimal for 40s… probably like 37s on 4.10s…
Would it still be a good deal if you have to regear them….. I would think it still a good deal, maybe not as good, knowing how labor intensive prepping an axle is first hand, lol…

I ran with a few guys that had a D60 in back on 37's and 38's in Missouri, but it's just not common and usually a stepping stone to a 40. I would venture a guess that's why the 4.88's are 1/2 off.

A lot of the buggy guys will gear to 4.88/5.13 to keep wheel speed up, but you need the HP/TQ numbers to run it.

WOD put Matt's buggy on YouTube last week. It's running a 5.13 gear and 43's, but he's got 575hp.

Unless I’m missing something these aren’t really 50% off. Appears to be false msrp prices posted. Are you saving some money sure but it’s not 50% it’s more like 30-35% depending on the deal you get. Other sites list msrp of the bracketed verisions around $9600 for the front.

I saw that, too, this morning...

I couldn't find listed MSRP's though. I saw that everyone has them on sale, just not at 50% or down near $6k.

One of my talking points for my call with Northridge today.

I think Skinny pedal is usually around $7k or so. I need to look there, too.
