Well I looked last Friday on Northridge web site for Dynatra Ball joints for my jeep, they were $702 Canadian and free shipping..
Went to order them on Sunday and could not find the web site....
Finally got through (email talking to Chris) and was told they closed down the Canadian ware house. (Would have been nice if they let us know)
I told him I tried to order them and couldn't prior.
Chris said to call in and ask for Marcel as he is still in Canada and would take care of me..
Talked to Marcel and this was his way of taking care of me:
- order from the USA website and pay USD dollars
- no free shipping and pay $79 usd
- pay a International fee $27.09
- pay vise chargers

So what should have $793 Canadian delivered is now $1,012 CDN delivered. WTF
This is what they call taking care of me I would hate to see their after purchase care....I guess this is why they had to leave Canada.
I bet the parts will be shipped from the Canadian warehouse direct to me. I can't see them trucking them back to the USA, them mail them to me....

If this is the best customer service they can offer I'm in impressed at all.
As for Marcel he didn't even attempt to help!
I actually go the feeling he just wanted me to go away....

Well guess what....I went away and will tell everyone who will listen...

Sorry for the rant

EDIT: Changed the $1012 USD to $1012CDN

Why would you try to continue to give them your business after they left your country? Can't you simply buy from someone else?
At the time when I first reached out I didn't know they had left.
Once I was taking to them I carried on and I will be honest a lot of it had todo with the price.

Couple things here.

We did have to close our warehouse in Canada. we are no longer stocking parts in Canada and will be shipping everything direct from our three warehouses in the USA. We did this for a couple reasons.
1. The cost of getting parts to that warehouse was very high
2. The shipping expense in Canada is very high.
3. Our customers experienced much longer delays than anybody wanted for parts to get to the Canadian warehouse and ship back out.

We operated two websites as well. This is a very hard thing to do as well and many customers have been asking about the sales we offer in the USA along with the discount codes ect and we made the decision it would be easier to manage one website instead of two and an additional warehouse along with making sure all the sales we offer can be utilized by all of our customers.

This all just happened over the weekend and we are still learning and tweaking things I would tell you its not perfect yet.

I am not sure the math is perfect here though.

The part is listed for $528.80 in US dollars. We would be shipping those out today UPS AIR for $79 in shipping. The international fee is the Duty and Brokerage.

So your total would be 528.80 plus $79 shipping and 27.09 in US dollars 634.89USD delivered to your door in the next 24 -48 hours.

so yes it is more expensive but you get it in roughly 2 days instead 3 weeks.

I apologize for having to close the warehouse and having to change things up it was not making financial sense to keep it open. I assure you Marcell is doing everything he can to help his fellow Canadians.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences with them. Semi regular customer.
I have heard they were a decent company but I guess things (people) change.
Unfortunately there policy has changed or I just spoke with some of their staff that doesn't care...

This made me wonder how regular a customer I was. 35 orders in a little over 3 years. I think I may have a problem.

In many ways, living up here has saved me money as no free shipping deals apply up here (Amazon and REI excluded). I’ve only had good experiences from Northridge and continue to support them—just not as frequently as when I lived down south.

I have been buying way too much stuff from Northridge4x4 since 2012 and have always received stellar service. They will continue to be my go to place.

I'm in Florida and have had A+ excellent customer service from Northridge4x4 's customer service team. Took care of an issue for me, immediately, without hassle. Hands down one of the best Jeep parts stores I have used. Shipping has also always been extremely fast (like Amazon Prime fast).
I will continue to recommend and shop with them.

Just on your site and it says $728.59 USD plus exchange = $982 plus 3% visa $1,011.
It would have been nice if you told us you were shutting down the Canadian site.
But to pay an extra $200 is way too much...

I've placed 9 orders since owning my Jeep (first quarter '23). I've been repeatedly shocked how fast the shipping is for in-stock parts. One time, I ordered the wrong ARB fitting; returning it was hassle free. Great overall customer experience.
