i notice there seems to be a large difference, but I’m a bit confused. The top is for my car, and the bottom is for trailer brakes?

If you're looking to install the wiring portion of the factory tow package, yes, the top one looks like it.

The top one is the normal trailer wiring harness.

The bottom is for flat towing your Jeep behind an RV.
