NOCO GC003 12v Male Plug

I see that this can charge from any live 12v outlet using any of the genius smart chargers. In theory could I chop the plug and t-tap the 12v outlet in rear? My genius 10 smart charger is too big to really mount under the hood with my air compressor and switch panel box mounted there. It would be nice to just be able to hook the charger up in the back of the Jeep when I need to charge the battery instead of popping the hood.

I would guess it would work, as long as the battery isn't too far discharged. If it is, you may have an issue with the limited wire size of the OEM female port.
