I just spoke with my dealer about changing my order to a diesel, and he said that they've been told they can't order any more diesels for the remainder of the 2023 run. Anybody else hearing this? I'm wondering if it has to do with the emissions fine...bummer if it's real.

Could be related to the CP4 high pressure fuel pump recall that dropped recently. Several threads here and on the JT boards about that pump eating itself and trashing the fuel system. They might be holding up production until the fix comes out.

There is no formal recall for the CP4s for the Wranglers as far as I know. My 2023 diesel was built and shipped, which as far as the other threads sound, means there isn't an open recall for it.

I literally just got home from the dealership, getting my free oil change and tire rotation and no recalls were found on my vehicle, 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Diesel. Funny 2023's are being delivered and my 2021 isn't even a year old yet!

I was there yesterday for the same thing on my 21, did have the def software recall done though. When that landed I didnt get a notification via snail mail or the app until weeks after some others were reporting it on here so I will just wait it out. Eventually it will show up. Although it is really of no use as they haven't released an official fix for it yet. So basically they admit there is a problem but aren't sure how to fix it exactly.

Yeah it will be one of those like my manual 20 Rubi "Your pressure plate might explode" and "We will let you know when we can fix it!"

LOL

I had my DEF recall done in June. It has really slowed down on the amount of DEF used since the first 7500-8000 miles.

At this exact moment there is a scheduling restriction on all Wranglers.

Yeah definitely. And now I've caught the bug cause my friend got one and I made the mistake of driving it. It's so much more fun than my 3.6!

Well, I guess my dealer is lying…all three other dealers I reached out to today said they could get me a diesel no problem. So there we go then.

Yeah, not unusual with dealers!

I have seen some around here change colors before building no problem and some dealer swear they can't change anything... So going to expect depends on dealer.
