New Jeep ordered now what?

So I ordered my new jlur xr yesterday from gupton. To save me from having to bother them with a million questions, I figured I’d ask a few here seeings how a lot of you guys have done this.

Basically I paid my deposit yesterday late afternoon. So I’m guessing my order went in today but maybe late yesterday.
Now what?

When do I get a vin to track?
when do I get a von?
heck, what is a von? I keep reading about that being a step but no idea what it even means.
What is cryptosticker? Am I suppose to enter my info into it and it sends me updates? A quick look at that site looks like I need to have a vin first before I can sign up for that?


Obviously I know I’m looking at 4ish months no matter what which is fine. Just would be cool to understand and watch the updates along the way.

VON should be as soon as they order, VIN as soon as Jeep accepts order. Generally same day or next. Maybe contact salesmen today or tomorrow. If you have a VON number Jeep Chat can give you VIN also.

Congrats! You should reach back out to Daniel to get your VON (Jeep order number) and VIN (Jeep identification number) in 2 business days or so. Both will help you track the Jeep in the process. Sign up with crypto stickers and it will let you know when the Jeep has gotten a sticker and the build sheet shows up. Lots of threads here which tell you which each stage in the build is and etc. Check every few weeks with Jeep Chat by giving them your info and they will give you a somewhat update on the build

Renee emailed me the purchase order with VON number today (put my deposit down today). Otherwise what was advised above and sit and wait.

Once you get the VIN, you can pester Jeep Chat instead of Daniel to get updates. Quicker turnaround (live chat vs emailing/calling) and it's what they're for.

Once it ships is when I'd reach back out to Daniel/Renee to coordinate financing paperwork, estimated pick up date, etc. There's not really much to do before then, to be honest.

The wait is *painful*, but it's part of the process. I got to where I would pop in on Jeep chat every ~3 days. Once it enters the build process, it's usually pretty quick after that (aside from any build issues). Then there's another lull once it leaves the factory and gets transported. I'd plan to give Gupton ~a week after delivery, if you can - they receive big batches (mine was one of 60+ delivered over a 2 day period) so it helps to give them a minute to sort through it all, get them cleaned up, etc.

I guess I’ll give them a couple days and call and ask for both at the same time.

Don't expect much from Jeep Chat on your status for quite a while--last 3 weeks of the process or so. Before that, you're just going to get "parts are being scheduled."

But I agree with others, when you want the "no update" update, bug the robots, not your salesperson. My first order took 5.5 months. Current order going on 6 weeks so far with no update yet (nor do I expect one for a while).

Like you, I can't wait.

Build priority will change to 01 when they submit it, that POC is prior to submitting the order. It will then show the VON.

I ordered JLUR Friday as well. Received VIN today from Renee. Still waiting on Bronco from 10/2020 reservation.

I ordered yesterday, put down the deposit with Daniel. He shot me back the VON a couple minutes later.

Renee sent me the VIN this afternoon, so if it's a valid order, and the issuance of a VON confirms this, then the VIN is but a few hours after that. D Status won't change for a few weeks. Ask Renee, she's probably got all the VIN's that have been ordered up thru yesterday.

Set your expectation for 12 weeks minimum. There's challenges this year that haven't been seen before. If you are of the glass is half full persuasion, the record that I know of from order to delivery was in late 2020 for a diesel 4-Door Sport, 3.5 weeks.

Take a look at what @nerubi put together here for what to expect if you haven't already. It is helpful as are the other order pages.

The pic you posted is not very helpful to you. You will want to get the Priced Order Confirmation (POC) from your dealer. That will have the VON and VIN along with your info on it. (At least mine has my name and address listed as the customer.
