I don't have any skin in this game, as I'm one of those extraneous door-having plebs, but I doubt Stella would have changed the folding mechanism itself and instead just removed the release lever, cable, and associated mounting pieces.

If some brave soul were so inclined, they could probably source the parts from the 24/25 models and add them to their driver seat. I'd probably verify first whether the tilt mechanism has an empty spot for the "easy entry" cable end (and maybe give it a tug to see if it works as intended).

How would anyone get in the back seat on the driver's side? Not that it matters to me, since my rear seat has been sitting on a shelf in the garage for the past 3 years, but it will be an issue for somebody...
I simply open the back door and sit down.

If i bought a new 2 door, I’d get a seat out of a jL that still had the fold/slide, swap it, and get Katzkins. I’d have the foam from the brand new seat put on the swapped one when the leather is installed.

What is that loop by your hip? Have you tried yanking on it?
That loop is the tilt for the back of the seat. Does not tilt forward enough. You can barely get your entire arm into the rear area, even with the seat slid all the way forward, and the back tilted all the way forward.

I would guess that Jeep has always made two types of driver's seat for Wranglers. One for 4-door Wranglers without any type of "flip-forward" or "fold-forward feature, and a unique seat with that feature, just for 2-door Wranglers, which are a small percentage of Wrangler sales.

I would also guess that putting a 4-door Wrangler seat into a 2-door Wrangler is just a cost cutting move for Jeep. That way they can save a few dollars on a $60,000+ Jeep.

Sheeze! What a great move (sarcasm).
