Looks nice. Too bad Jeep doesn’t offer the steel bumper package on a Willys. A factory bumper from a Rubicon should fit; just expensive unless you can find a takeoff bumper. I picked one up for my Jeep JK a few years ago from AEV which does conversions about 60 miles from my home in Michigan. It was about half price. I also have a 2 door Willys in addition to my 4 door Rubicon. Personally I prefer a color keyed grill in the Willys as opposed to black so I picked up a take off from Facebook Marketplace.

You CAN get a steel bumper but you have to go through the dealership. We did just that with our Willys and they even asked (dealership) if we wanted the winch. This was all before delivery.

I do agree, that getting it from the factory would make it even easier and I don't understand why they don't allow you to build the rig your way.

Maybe there are some dealerships that won't work with their customers however on two separate occasions with different dealers we've added OEM equipment that wasn't an option from the factory.

We didn't want the rear steel bumper which was also offered if we wanted it.
This is our front steel bumper. I like the end cap removal option and I think the bumper looks really nice.

I'm not sure what would change if you add it after pickup, but I'm assuming there would be extra cost.

There is a member here that modified their plastic front bumper for a winch. It looks fantastic and probably saves a lot of extra weight.

OP,

Congrats on your new rig. You will love this version of the Willys.

EDIT:

I see I already posted this photo earlier in the thread. Apologies, I guess I lost track of which thread I was actually in.
