New to Jeep. Audio ?

Hello Jeep world. We are new to Jeep and my other half and I recently bout a new 2024 Wrangler sport s 4 door in anvil. My other half has wanted one forever. I didn’t think I would like it. But now my soul sings every time I’m in it. What doesn’t sing is the audio speakers. Garbage. I’ve been doing reading and you tubing for 2024 plug and play options and it’s confusing. Budget 1500 to 2k. We do not have the alpine in there now so no sub. Any recommendations that yall know works. I keep seeing nothing for 2024 models.

find you a good car audio shop, they can put together a decent system for a reasonable price. Or you can can order speakers etc. from a place like Crutchfields that will be plug and play.

I can't agree with @Paluss enough!! Get a local specialty shop a visit and see what they offer. Rockford has a fantastic option that might be more than you want to spend but may be a better buy in the long run.

Exactly what I did. Granted, I'm not an audiophile, but the straightforward replacement of the OEM dash speakers with well-rated Infinity Reference speakers made a world of difference in sound quality. Good enough for me.

For the dash speakers, I bought the Terra Acoustics, sent them back. They are 7 ohm, not 4 ohm like the factory speakers. What that means is they will pull a lot less power from the radio and the volume will not be as loud as the stock speakers...

There are tons of threads on here and the Gladiator forum and you will get all different opinions....

I tried a few different set ups, Rockford Fosgate, Terra Acoustics, etc... The speakers that sounded the best to me were the Harmon Kardon Mopar speakers, part number 68584767AA. Another member suggested them to me and they are a LOT louder and Clearer than the factory speakers. They are plug and play. I paid $150 for the pair shipped to me from All Mopar Parts.

I would suggest trying them first. Then add in a powered subwoofer.

I started with the base radio. Changed dash speakers with JL 3.5 CX2's. Changed sound bar with matching JL's but in 6.5. Added passenger side stealthbox. All powered by a 5 channel amp under the drivers seat. It booms and can be heard very well cruising the highway at 80 topless.

Sorry not a '24. I'm not aware of any changes related to the radios for a new Jeep.

x3 on Crutchfield - been using them for many years. They usually provide all the installation parts (if needed) as well.

since we are on radios i have a 2021 wrangler sport unlimited .question can you turn the radio OFF, seems we can just turn the sound down with controls on screen. ever once in a while my wife and i will hear something and we discover its the radio again. my ex 88 Cherokee had real knob's for turning things on and off. still miss that 88

I'd replace the dash ones first. Very easy to do an most noticeable improvement in sound. Problem is I'm not sure about the '24 as they changed the dash and soundbar design?!

IF nothing changed on the '24 you can change BOTH the dash and the soundbar speakers with these Kickers which are plug-in and play. Super easy to do. They basically replace the tweeter/mid-bass. Says they are for Dodge Dart, but totally fit with zero modification in a '20 Willys.

If you push the center of the button that controls volume (item 4 below), that should turn the radio off.
