They are giving me financial compensation for my troubles. I have no complaint about the focus on customer service I've received. In my experience the sign of good customer service how they deal with problems when they occur. I'm a customer for life.
It's good to hear FCA is stepping up and taking care of you.

Well, I have a tale of woe.

I ordered my Rubicon on January 19 and it went into KZ status on 3/6 with an eta the end of March. It got stuck in Toledo because of the railcar shortage. FCA management got involved and arranged to directly truck ship my Jeep and a few others for the Las Vegas market.

The truck was due in Vegas today. It arrived but just before reaching the dealership the driver went under an overpass that had low clearance. My Wrangler was unfortunately the top front car and took the impact. It was totaled. :(

FCA is pursuing two options right now. They're looking for an identical configuration in the Western US and they are submitting a "frame replacement" that will go into production in the next few days.

Meanwhile, I'm trying tio keep things in perspective and realizing that other than this entire Wrangler ordering experience I've had a blessed life. If this is the worst that happens to me I'm still in great shape.
Please don’t be my granite rubicon with tan interior, I have been waiting since January

I’m so sorry that happened, but you have a great perspective. Sounds like Jeep is going to do well by you. There are worse things that could happen, this is a sad but small blip. Keep us posted on your new one when it arrives!

I know you've waited a long time, but apparently that particular Jeep was one you weren't supposed to receive. God speed on your second Jeep. Hope it turns out to be perfect for you! :like:

I am ballistic with my January order and they have not crashed it yet
I’d make them start building me one by cannabalizing whatever they had on the lot #LegoJL

They should give you a free upgrade and include every option you didn't order for free.
That's unnecessary and greedy. Something like a modest Mopar gift card, or steak dinner for four, or a unique hat would be a nice show of appreciation, but frankly getting his re-build to the front shows strong commitment in the first place to make it right.

Did you get the story on the white Ford/Jeep hybrid next to your sad Rubicon. The jeep emblem on the grill is nice and the star on the hood is a good touch but the JK hood latches put it over the top for me!!!
