They replaced the whole window, and supposedly the actual rear defroster. The glass didn't fail, more so the actual substance used to connect the rear defroster to the glass.

Lucky, my service department likes to act like the internet doesnt exist, and their customers dont research this stuff. Ill try suggesting the glass epoxy.

Hello, mine has disconnected for the second time. This time a week after having it fixed from the first incident. Mine looks exactly the same, but luckily I never got accused of that sanding BS. The only issue I have is getting the service department to remember to do their jobs.

Same thing happened to mine, the rear defroster disconnected just like yours. I dont think mine was do to heat though, because mine disconnected around the end of August, before we had any cold wherr I live. My dealership has ordered me a new window and new part, apparently thats the fix for it.

Never had that issue, soon as I'm even within 3 feet of my JL and its turned on my bluetooth connects. I can delete it pair again leave come back and still connects. Im running Android Samsung Galaxy S8 currently up to date same with my Uconnect. Maybe ask your dealer?
