Well shoot, I should have checked this sooner. Already ordered a tazer.
You can always use both! I have the Tazer, and find it a bit annoying to remove for the occasional dealer visit, so I plan to get JSCAN at some point to permanently modify settings and then use the Tazer for the fun stuff.

Also, I'm running 315/70r17's with 4.10's and it feels great. Not worth the regear in my opinion, but will definitely swap to 4.88's when I bump up to 37's. Also, I have the 2.0T without eTorque. If you have the 3.6L, you may notice the larger tires a tad more, and if you eventually regear, many with the 3.6L prefer going one set lower (numerically higher) than those with the 2.0T.

315 on stock Rubicon 4.10 gearing is feasible, but anyone saying that it is optimum sure as heck haven’t tried that same Jeep with 4.56 or 4.88 gearing. At a Jeep meet, I had a friend with a Rubi claim that his Jeep turned the 315s just fine until I threw him the keys to my Jeep for a quick spin around the block. 2 weeks later he was having it regeared.
Im not naive to think it won’t be a difference. I’m no mechanic, but I’ve done a fair bit of wrenching/building so I fully expect the 4.10’s and 35’s to be a slight challenge with the v6. I think for now I’ll add onboard air and drive it like it is and see what the future holds. I’m plenty modded to tackle the crappy trails around me.

315's with the V6 and stock Ruby 4.10's will be fine! I ran 315 KO2's with a non-eTroque 3.6 with zero complaints until I went to 37's, then I did 4.88 regear. Are 4.10's with 35's ideal? No, for 35's 4.56 is probably optimal for all-around use, go to 37's and for sure you want to regear and ideally to 4.88's.

That said, my new JLRX with the 35" tire package comes with 4.56's and if I go to 37's I will not regear. 4.10's to 4.88's is a huge difference, 4.56's to 4.88's not enough difference to warrant a regear...IMHO

It’s all good, you sure won’t be the first one to do so. I’m absolutely guilty to have driven undergeared Jeeps most of my life and trying to convince myself all was fine while trying to boost power with cold air intakes and exhaust and at one time, ignition boosting systems like MSD and the like. My current Jeep is the first one I ever get regeared and I kick myself all the time to have ignored regearing all this time.

It’s an incredible satisfaction to drive a Jeep that turns the big tires as easily as it did the stock tires. So incredible that it is one of these things that need to be lived to be understood.
