Welcome and congratulations. Know, up front, that your new Jeep, as it sits, is more capable than 90+% of the vehicles out there, not to mention being more capable than 95% old drivers?. Do yourself a HUGE favor, put together a basic self rescue kit and a basic survival kit, then get out and use that Jeep the way YOU will be using it. Unless you find yourself getting into Extreme off roading your new Rig will do everything you WANT to do as t sits. Don’t fall into the “gotta have bigger tires, gotta lift it, etc” trap. In almost every case those things are NOT needed ( maybe wanted because someone likes the look, but definitely not “needed” for the vast majority of folks. Enjoy the Jeep. If, buy some chance, you find a problem off road that keeps causing you issues, there is always time to add modifications. If you don’t need them, you’ve saved yourself a lot of $$ that can be better spent on actual trips?

See if you lift it though and add bigger wheels It also adds an extra layer of security because most car thief’s don’t carry a Jack that can get the wheels off the ground to steal them. Boom. Dual purpose.

If in fact that is your wife's Jeep and you are the one hanging out on a Jeep Forum, You/her JLU is going to end up with a split personality. It won't know which team to be on, the daily driver team/Wife, or the modification team/you. Enjoy the ride.
