Looking at '24s I noticed that there are new brackets attached on the frame just behind the front tires. I assume these are for crash protection? They look like they'd get in the way of larger tires.

You are correct, they are for crash protection. It rolled out sometime in 2022, as some Jeeps from that year have them, while others don't.

For example, my Jeep was built in January of 2022 and does not have these.

Also, I believe they are bolted on, so you may be able to remove them if they conflict with a wheel/tire/suspension setup in the future. If not, you can always take a cutoff wheel to it.

Just curious are they on both sides on the 24? The bolts are long enough they need to be cut with a sawzall or cut off wheel. Easy to do.

no only on the passenger side. We just got back from Moab (4 jlur's) all had them and nobody ever had an issue with them. 2 had 37's and 2 35's. nobody even nicked them.

I removed it on my 23 because at the time there was some interference with the RSE step sliders which I believe has since been resolved.

I mean if we are being real most people that run anything bigger are just building mall crawlers and will never get dirtier than after a rain.

Nothingburger…Whataburger has new competition?
Man fuck them, they are trying to get into NC and are suing and going after the What-A-Burgers that have been here forever. There are 3 different WAB versions the TX, NC and one in VA that all started around the same time.

Ok I didnt spell it correctly I guess. I had no idea about the burger wars. We don’t have whataburger or what-a-burger or whatever-burger in CA I don’t think.
