New Bushwacker Hyperform Fenders

So I am a little embarrassed to admit the reason for the gap was 1000% user error. I put that piece pictured above on wrong. I had them flipped (passenger on driver's side and vice versa). I swapped them tonight and viola:

I was likely tired after hours of work on these and countless swear words. This was literally the last step of the installation.

This also just goes to show how awful the instructions are. Additionally there was no indication of which was which. So word to the wise if you stumble across this forum when doing your own install, once you decipher where things go take some extra time to figure out how the pieces fit together, it's not always apparent with these instructions.

That area is the most frustrating thing about the install. It only goes one way but it seems like you have it at first (with a shitty fit) and then if you try & try & try and then it just goes in. Yes, better instructions would help. A video on their site would be awesome. Glad you got it fixed.

How solid are these fender flares? It seems they are fitted only to the Jeep’s body with those plastic clips.

Do they hold up at highway speeds or are they a bit floppy in the wind. Will they be able to hold if someone lean on them?

I like the look of these flares but I am not so sure about how solid they are.

these probably cost $8 to make and they do not hold up to normal driving. I was in a county rd after a rain driving to work and was shocked that in 3 weeks these fenders are trash. 3 weeks with zero response from bushwacker as well. Not happy at all.

About a week. I’ve abused mine reasonably well and finally broke them. What did you do to yours?

honestly i drove down a hard packed county rd 30mph in rain in 40° temps and it had gravel blow holes in them. I bought them for added protection from rocks and mud flying up everywhere. The coverage and looks are great but i really thought they would be more durable. If they replace them I think i will go get the insides linex’d for some extra protection and i may try and fab a shield for the lights i dont like how mud blast’s through the gaps around it. Cant be good for it.

Mine were halogen the DLR’s come with a resistor for that.

Do you have a pic of what the resistor looks like? I just installed these on my sport S and am getting the turn signal out error every time I turn my new on so want to make sure I installed them correctly since the instructions weren’t great.

I get a turn signal out error ever since I installed my Hyperforms. I had a Tazer & I was able to get the error light to quit.

I’ve been running these for over a year. They’ve survived a trip from Texas to Colorado and several badge of honor trials.

Same, turn signal lights out for the longest time now, I just ignore it. Even with resisters in there it doesn’t make a difference. The dash blinks fast but the light blinks normal.
