I have read through the threads discussing Bushwacker Hyperforms and everyone is generally happy besides the floppy fitment and gaps. I worked hard making everything as tight and aligned as possible and was really happy with them. 3rd week i had them it rained one morning and I was driving down a county rd i travel often and naturally mud and small rocks stick to tires and sling off. I was happy to have the extra coverage to keep the mud and debris from slinging all over my jeep like before with stock fenders. When I got to my destination I noticed holes in every fender from rocks slinging through them like they were shot out a gun???! I never went over 30mph and I feel like common expectations is for these to do their one job and deflect debris and stuff from hitting the paint or other vehicles.
has anyone else experienced this and did bushwacker do anything to help? I reached out to customer service 2 times and sent pics with zero response. Its been another 3 weeks since I contacted them and nothing.
anyone else get bushwacked by these weak floppy fenders??

I'm not surprised in the least. I have the max terrain installed (same product). I had holes pocked in the front fenders and the backs shattered less than a year after install. I chalked it off to cold weather but you seem in a warm climate.

The type of plastic they use is too brittle.

yeah i think they need a different blend or something is off. I have had BW products before and usually no issues. If any its over alignment, never experienced this before.
i was finally contacted and im very happy that they sent out a replacement set and it arrived in 3 days. I am hoping to swap them out this weekend. They ended up subbing the max terrains in for replacement. The hyperforms are out of stock. After I install them Im going to have bedliner sprayed to the underside and my inner fender liners as well. I just have to “fab” up a cover or barrier to the back of the front fender light housing. I hate how it gets mud blown out around the lights and it doesn’t look line it would last long tbe way it comes. Maybe its for pavement only jeeps i dont know.

Actually the lights are fine, they do get packed with mud and it's a pain to clean up. I usually just aim my pressure washer from the back until it runs clear then finish up by spraying from the front. I've had them for almost 3 years now in tons of mud/sand/snow and they are still working fine.

Damn, haven't had issues with mine from rocks over about 10k miles. I did destroy both driver side fenders with an antelope, though.

I obviously had outside force, so I paid for mine, but if you call Omix, they may warranty them for you. Bruce at Omix was pretty good, I can PM you his number if you want.

Is there a preference between the Max Terrain (Rugged Ridge) versus the Bushwacker? I ordered mine last week and supposed to arrive Monday. I’ve used BW for years and the only place I’ve found the HyperForm was Quad not even BW direct or Off Road Elements gave a timeframe on when they’ll be back in stock. I’d say I lucked out but seeing this thread, I am concerned.

I got mine replaced, I had a hole in from a rock im assuming also. They look GREAT but they’re shitty. I’ve been debating some new fenders lately but these have that oem look that i love. But I wouldn’t mind some metal fenders but I like the drl too so it’s a tough search.

This may be less true with Jeep than Japanese automakers, but it's still true that the OEM generally puts a lot of careful testing and engineering into things like material selection and other considerations. These are things that an aftermarket company making fenders doesn't really have the depth of knowledge or resources to duplicate. It's easy to make fenders but nailing the right material to have resistance to temperature, impacts, deformation, etc. and to balance them according to the wear and tear that the vehicle is likely to see in its service life is much harder.

My BW hyperforms were replaced by BW with the max’s and I cant tell a difference. I left the BW lights and brackets in place and just popped these in. I am having a little more trouble than last time getting the light/fender lined up in driver front than i have had. I left alone for now i was getting too frustrated lol

I have the same issue with the replacements around the driver light.

Did they send you the rubber weatherseal? I didn’t get any.
