If it isn't mopar maxcare you're effectively wasting your money. Most 3rd party contracts are an absolute hassle to deal with. Maxcare is effectively an extension of your basic bumper to bumper warranty. The dealer checks to see if the part is covered and it's done. No negotiation, no inspectors, nothing.
Miixed emotions I'm sesawing back and forth they through in the warranty I didn't buy it as to keep the deal alive they didnt want to as that wasover 1 hr try get that to but that's the only way I'd consider it's more of a fuds issue for me as I looked there isn't many by me and I have a car that I need trade. As the trade saves my taxes and the sales price being lower now is what's attractive. Fuck don't know what to do I will makeup my mind when I see what they fix they said they will rebalance tires retorque everything and look at the suspension and change the stabilizer. My thought is to see if they come up with some issue other than stabilizer if they say out alignment or something else then maybe that was root cause. I'm my worst enemy. Prob is the wife likes the color now. As she's not a her person and it took a bit to chat Nvidia once her. Maybe I can negotiate max care sorry I'm not familar with warranties

I realky appreciate everyone's input

On the surface, it sounds like the dealer is trying to make it right. However . . . . he also REALLY wants to be rid of it. I think post #9 nails it. I'd move on from this one since there is no history.

I'm sure the dealer knew of the DW and it was probably the reason it was traded in.
They should have fixed it before trying to unload it.

For what it's worth: I have leased two almost identical '22 4xE Saharas, all stock. Both of them have encoutered the death wobble; one was 'fixed' with a tire rotation.

The other one has been in the shop 3 times, had the stabilizer repaired and other suspension parts examined. The problem still occurs at highway speeds, and now they say a replacement part is backordered for a month...

Needless to say, I will be very glad to turn that one back in next year and I don't envy the person who eventually buys it. It is an unsettling issue, and can be a difficult one to properly diagnose and fix.

I received the full history report on the car it was a lease and service by the specific dealer no indication of death wobble maybe it's possible that the part broke when I drove it hard to say at this point

I thought you said the carfax said personal use, not a lease? It would say lease on the carfax if it was.

I'm coming into this thread late but picked up a few things- you said the dealer told you it was a guy who bought and sold back cars every 2 years. Now it's a lease? I don't like when things don't add up- red flags everywhere with what you say they've told you. Before you keep it and take the extended warranty, I would take it to an independent mechanic and have them really check it out, then go back and insist the dealer address every item on the list...

All Wranglers are not bad news. Mine's been perfect. On a forum like this you are not likely to hear all the good stories. Any vehicle brand will have it's issues.

Why are all wranglers bad news?
No they aren't, but I think you have an inherent misunderstanding of the vehicle and will struggle to resolve issues to your satisfaction with dealers/mechanics and will always be frustrated with owning a wrangler. They aren't for everyone, and those tend to be the really unhappy owners.
