I’ve decided to go with the 35 inch KO2’s for my Wrangler but I can’t find any info at all from other in my situation. I have a 2023 4xe Willys stock. With the Firestone MT’s. I have seen articles and videos about people putting 35’s on 4xe Rubicons. But nothing on Willys. I want to keep the factory rims (don’t know the offset) gonna go 315/75/17. Am I gonna need spacers? Am I gonna need a lift? I off-road but nothing that would require spotters or a winch. Mainly rough trails and some off road courses. I’d like to keep it as low as possible without rubbing of course but I can’t find any information out there about my specific combination. Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, I have a Rubicon. You can go as high as 35 on the rubicon w/o putting a lift. Rubicon sits higher than Willy's, on Willy's and Sahara's you can go 33 max w/o a lift. And for what it's worth, 33s are default tires on a Rubicon. I replaced them with 35s, but I did a lift too. Although could have gone no lift. I just posted this picture in another thread, but here it is too since I have it handy. This is 35s and a 2" mopar lift

People run those tires on stock wheels, but truthfully you should have a 17x8 minimum wheel. Your Willys also sits pretty low, I assume because of the hybrid parts. You'll need stiffer springs or spacer lift at a minimum.

The KO2 comes in a 305/70-17, not 305/75-17. Either way, it's technically wider than what should be used on stock rims. A 285/75-17 would be better suited and even it is right at the edge of what fits the stock wheel properly. It specs at 33.9" vs 34.5".

If you're dead set on the stock wheels, go with the narrower tire and a 1" or 1.5" spacer. The 1" spacer won't fit most aftermarket wheels without trimming your studs but the stock wheels should have pockets that all them to fit.

The 4xe Jeeps (all trims) actually sit about 3/4"-1" higher than their non-4xe counterparts, not lower as suggested above due to hybrid parts. Your Willys should sit at least at the same height as the Sahara.

I initially ran 295/65-20 tires on my 4xe Sahara which spec at 35.1" and had no rubbing during a few weeks of street driving before my lift went on. I am running a 20x9 wheel with -12mm offset though so I have a lot more inboard room. If I had no plans to off-road it then I would have left it as is, or maybe done a 1" spacer lift at most. I went with the Clayton 2.5" lift as I know I'll probably move up to 37's when its time for new tires or I get bored, lol.

Below are 2 pics of my Jeep and my wife's, showing before the lift and after the lift, comparing her stock Sahara 4xe to my modded Sahara 4xe.

I like the look of your Wrangler before the lift personally. But functionally it’d have to be lifted a little. I just really like the look of a filled wheel well. Wish both could be accomplished. I will say yours had the best looking stance I’ve seen with a lift and 35’s. I think the lower fender flares give it that look I prefer. I might be the only person who prefers them to the high fenders. lol.

Thanks, I loved the stuffed look as well but knowing I'd probably move up a tire size and wanting to keep the functionality the lift happened. As I mentioned, a 1" or 1.5" spacer lift would be a good option as well, especially if going with a standard 35" tire which is a bit smaller than mine.

I was initially planning on swapping out to painted Rubicon fenders but after seeing the stance with it lifted I've pretty much nixed that for now as I really like the low fender look as well. It also tends to make them look slightly squatted since the front is higher than the rear.

The other option, and one that I almost went with, was the AccuAir lift kit. Having the adjustable height suspension you can keep the stuffed look for daily driving when flex isn't needed then go even higher than mine when you hit the trails. You've got instant adjustment as you add weight/accessories without needing to swap springs or add spacers and it self levels for towing. It's not cheap, but they run pretty good sales occasionally. If I was to do it again I'd bite the bullet and go that way.

If you want to keep the factory wheels and increase to 35" tires consider the less common narrow 35"x11.50"R17. That size fits the 7.5" factory wheel better than 12.50" or 315/70R17 will. Two weeks ago I put 315/70R17s on 17"x9" Fuel wheels and they are very wide compared to stock and poke out wider due to wheel width and offset.

There is also the advantage of 35"x11.50"R17 being lighter too. At the least you need to test fit and check for clearance. Personally I hate spacers and won't run them. Quality adapters may help if you don't want to change wheels. There's always the option of buying stock Rubicon take offs. See how the 33" tires look and feel. Might even be able to find someone local who will let you test fit and drive them for a bit.

Are you referring to wheel spacers or to a spacer lift? What backspacing and offset do you have on your fuel rims?

Im referring to wheel offset or backspacing. Different ways to measure the same thing. The Fuel Nitro wheels I bought only had -14mm offset. No other option. I would have preferred closer to 0 offset but the extra poke outwards means the lift will have more clearance when installed. I did install Mopar fender extensions like the XR package comes with to help cover the new wheels and tires.

You can see mine here:

It looks good, I know what you mean when you finally find "the rim" and there is only one offset and it's not the one you want but...
The flush mount tail lights look good too

If I am not mistaken the offset on the 392 XR wheels is at +12
