4xe wont start after retractable steps install?? Need help

The only thing that I did is unplug blue, black, white plugs on passenger footwell so the that I can reach the door trigger wires that you need to tap into.

After install I tested steps it all works as it should; I went to start the car and nothing, just says press brake and press start..

Hazards, headlights work.. what could it be? Anyone know how I can do a reset?

You try pressing your key fob directly to the start button and crank it as normal (foot on brake)?

What do you mean pressing key fob to start button? I was holding brake pedal and pressing start button while keyfob is in the car and it didn’t work

Try what @TaiMc said - your fob has an RFID chip embedded that can start the car, so push the start button on the dash with the fob. Worth a shot at least!

That didn’t work I’ll try unplugging negative terminal for 10 mins and see what happens.

Check the pins to see if any were bent when you tried reconnecting the harnesses.

Fixed, restart didn’t work.. I then unplugged black plug and Re plugged it in and Voila!

Not touching that one anymore!

okay…I only suggested this to eliminate the possibility that the battery in your fob wasn’t working, before you assumed anything much worse was the culprit.

When I was having engine troubles my jeep also didn’t wanna start. I assumed both issues were related but they were not. I thought I had multiple issues instead of one. The battery in my fob was dead and it just so happened to die while my engine was dying lol…Totally unrelated. After I got my jeep back fixed, it still didn’t wanna start…thats when i learned about the battery.

Definity hope u get this resolved. Hoping the battery “reset” will work! ??
