I’m surprised no one’s asked about anything about the mystery module.
They removed your Tazer Mini and swapped it out with something you can’t identify?
Did they tell you anything about it?
Did they unmarry your Tazer correctly?

A Tazer that hasn’t been unmarried can potentially cause glitches, but if your Jeep is an ‘18 with the original batteries, I’d put money on that.

Got a picture of the module the shop added?
Thanks for addressing that. My shop told me that that had nothing to do with it but I can't help but think its causing a glitch somewhere. After the AUX went out I unmarried it then remarried and did the 2 reboot cycle both times.

I was also thinking that perhaps not locking the car prevented it from going to sleep due to some sort of glitch with this module.

I took it off and put it somewhere, will look for it and post a pic as soon as I find it.

If it's a 5 year old battery, that's about it. There's a button on the dash that turns off the radio screen. (probably for night driving)
Do you think the screen turning off was a sign of a bad battery? The auto-start stop never quite worked properly. Even after the dealer replaced the AUX I got a "Auto-start not ready" message. Could the auto-stop system be causing some sort of drain?

I also have an after market sound system that was professionally installed but I've had zero issues with that.

"the main battery read 4 volts"
Honestly, if it got down to 4 volts, I think it's toast. And it will kill the aux battery.

Completely isolate the main battery (all cables) and put it on a charger. It should read 12.6 - 12-7 volts. Have it tested somewhere else. Again, at 5 years old, I'd buy a new battery.

A quick Google search using the image and the text on that module are turning up nothing.
I’m confused as to why they’d yank your Tazer and put this on in an attempt to clear your TPMS light/warning.

Thanks. Good to know. I guess these batteries only have a 3 years life. Can you recommend a better aftermarket main battery?

That said, I'm still perplexed by how it was fine for 3 months then just went all the way down to 4V seemingly overnight. I was told the main is still healthy, just low. Trickle charging now to see if it'll hold charge.
The warranty on my 2018 Sahara ends next months as well.

I was having miscellaneous electrical gremlins during the weeks leading to replacing the batteries.

I replaced both with O’Reillys Super Start batteries; that fixed all the problems.

This was 18 months ago; haven’t had any more issues.

Your shop just arbitrarily yanked a Tazer and replaced it with this? Where is your Tazer?
Yep, and they didn’t tell me. I checked and found this. They said they wanted to try this in case the tazer was faulty. I heard some shops mess with your car once the warranty runs out so you keep coming back to them to fix. Didn’t think this one would but I guess you never know these days ?

It’s concerning that the module is labeled “HemiJL” and you have a 2018.
That ain’t no hemi, right?

Same here I couldn’t find anything at all. They did a great job on both of my cars until this happened. Again once the warranty ran out ?

Get your Tazer back. Add air to your tires. Replace your batteries.
