Help diagnosing 2 rattles/noises - 2mo old JLU Willys

Bought a JLU Willys about 2mo ago. Around 500mi, it started developing two noises that are driving us crazy.

The first video below is a clicking noise coming from the passenger door. It comes and goes, and it seems worse when it's hot outside. I roll down the window a little bit, and it goes away. I roll it back up, and the noise comes back.

The second is a softtop rattle. That one is consistent when driving over rough roads (and is getting worse!).

I took it in to the dealer, and they could only replicate the 2nd. They diagnosed it as a bad spreader bar, which is taking them 10+ business days to get the actual part. Once they get the part, I will take it back in.

For the first issue, though, they weren't able to replicate, diagnose or fix. They kept the actual car for 10 days, and nothing!

Has anyone had similar issues?

I can’t help with the soft top issue because I have a hard top but for the creaking doors, I’m afraid to say that there is not fix.

Thanks, DavidArmen! I'll check out the thread in detail. Mine doesn't creak/click when opening or closing the door, though. It creaks/clicks while driving with the window all the way up.

I replaced the videos with links. Hope they work now.

Appreciate any other thoughts.

LOL... so a few weeks after becoming part of the #creaksqaud, it seems like my car has been fixed! I hope I'm not speaking too soon.

The dealer was very patient and diligent, and it seems like they fixed both issues:

1) Passenger door clicking (while driving) was caused by 2 loose bolts that hold the carrier plate to the door. Bolts were tightened.

2) The soft top rattle was caused by a "worn" linkage assembly (or spreader bar). It was replaced with a new one. Can't believe it can get worn so fast, so hope the issue doesn't come back anytime soon.
