Guys, Mopar doesn't sell boots alone, they come with axle assembly. Are you guys sure boot is available alone?

Car Care Nut is such a beautiful human, in this video he says that he replaces the boot for his customers, not axle. Wish we had a car care nut in the Jeep world too.

Your info says this is on a 2024 so you should be able to file a warranty claim. If not then it would be best to replace the whole axle. Yeah only the boot is ripped but there is the potential for contamination in the axle joint now which will act like sandpaper and wear out the CV joint.

Is it very expensive to switch to the old school system?
If you have the full-time 4wd transfer case, the one you can drive on dry pavement with, you want the CV joints and not regular u-joints. In a turn, U-joints change rotational velocity while CV joints are constant velocity. The sharper you turn the worse the hop is.

Guys, a 4x4 shop near me says $350 for labor and around $120 for the boot kit, so a total of $500 plus tax. Should I do it? And Pep Boys made me nervous by saying that there is some kind of battery shut down procedure so do not let anybody touch it, go to the dealer

The charge for the labor seems very reasonable, the $120 for the boot seems high, but overall, it's fair, IMO.
