Re-installed my Nitto Recon Grapplers onto my new Raceline RT232 Monster Beadlocks (with Spacers) and out of a set of (5), I have (1) wheel that will continues to leak (2 lbs/hr). Have been to 2 different dealers (one 2x) and my offroad dealer/installer. All stated they could not find a leak. After a 2nd visit to local dealer, they said that it was NOT the tire, but coming from the wheel. Had them move that wheel to spare. Took jeep back to installer, who rechecked and could NOT find a leak. Had him remove ring and wheel and repeat process. He torqued ring 3 times, and refilled air. Spare was down from 30 to 8PSI within 24 hrs. I have contacted Raceline for any help but was told to retorque. Has anyone experience or heard of someone with this issue. Any advise, expertise much needed.

Not sure it’s it helps, but you could make a soap bubble solution and lather around the wheel and valve stem until you see bubbles then you’ve found your leak and possibly have it fixed. Filling it with air and dunk in a tub of water to see which side air is rising from also works

I am running the same rims you are. I have them mounted to 38” Milestar Patagonias which have a slightly smaller lip so I didn’t have to use a spacer. I have pulled them apart and reset the bead without any issues at all. I used a very systematic approach when I torqued down the ring. Not sure why you would be having issues. Were you able to put the wheel completely in a water tank? That might help narrow down where the leak is.

My beadlocks have all kinds of dirt in the lip on a few that were field fixes. And I don't lose air nearly that quickly. I think that you definitely need to make a solution and figure out where the leak is yourself. That should be fast enough to see pretty easily. Make sure you check your valve stems. At the seat and the schrader.

Get yourself a water bottle fill it with some soapy water pump up your tire till like 50 pounds and spray water all over it. You should be able to find out where the air is leaking. Any leak in your tire should show bubbles.

Not sure putting 50 psi in a beadlock is a safe thing to do. 30psi should work just fine.

Most of these wheels are aluminum castings and can have porosity in addition to surface flaws/damage. But checking around the valve stem and core are the first place I would start.

The wheel could have a porous spot. I had this issue with one of my wheels back in the day. Had the dealer warranty the wheel.
Tell me more please. How did you identify that it was a porous spot?

With new Beadlocks wheels, you have to retorque them frequently for the first couple or 3 months especially if the vehicle is a daily driver. I would check them every 3-4 days for the first couple months and at least every 30 days from that point if you don't have any leaks.

You should check with Raceline to verify the torque spec and adhere to that spec. I believe the torque spec should be about 18 PSI and torque in a star pattern.

If you don't follow those procedures you will have problems. They do take awhile for them to seat and seal. That is why Beadlocks are not recommended for consumer use because the average consumer would not be that cognizant about the high maintenance of these wheels.

I have Method Beadlocks and I followed Method's procedures and I don't have any air leaks or related problems.

When I was a kid in high school, I worked in a gas station like every self respecting gearhead. The station had a tire test tank with about 15-20 gallons of water in it. When customers would come in complaining about a slow leak, the tire went into the tank of water.

Fill your bathtub full of water and put it in. It will show.
