Beadlocks

Hello all!

Im looking to see if anyone knows what places are willing to balance method racing 105 beadlocks with my rig. And as far as maintenance for beadlocks how much is it. Just checking the torque specs every week or two?

I don't know of any chain tire shops that will deal with bead locks. 4 Wheel Parts are in most areas and they will do it. Also 4x4 shops usually will.

If it is mostly on road, I'd advise against beadlock wheels. Often people want them because they look cool but it isn't worth it. If you rock crawl often then they are worth while.

My buddy and his business partner has run 15+ sets of beadlocks on his rigs over the years and he retorques the bolts after 200 ish miles and then rechecks after each oil change. He rarely has loose bolts after the 200 mile retorque. He glances at them periodically to look for any obvious loose bolts.

I put beadlocks/37s on for the first time 4 wks ago and retorqued them yesterday to 20 ft lbs...only had 2 bolts that tightened a little...took about 20 min. I dont think they are as high maintenance as I originally thought and would do it again.

I purchased my beadlocks from local Discount Tire guy. Great price BTW. I mounted them; much easier then you'd think,YouTube is your friend. And then Discount balanced them. They've been rock steady. Never had a beadlock bolt loosen in 14k miles. Only issue is, they're heavier by about 10-12 lbs each.
