You've changed your filter how many times, and now you're wondering were to put the O-ring?
While I can agree with the point you’re making, I’ve done 5 or 6 oil changes on these motors and I still reference pictures and torque settings. Sometimes I just double check myself to make sure. My shop teacher used to say, “Measure twice, cut once.” It gives me piece of mind so when I hit the ignition after doing some work on the engine, there is not a question of what I can expect.
