I just replaced a head gasket and my intake cams, when I buttoned everything back up and started it, I got a bunch of error codes related to the valvetrain. The engine seems to run just fine, there is a slight tick that seems to be more than fuel injectors, but it's hard to tell.
I was not able to do a cam/crank relearn which I think might be causing these codes. I was able to perform the Intake / Exhaust phaser cleanings on 3 of the 4 phasers, but when I tried on the Intake Bank 1 phaser it would say Environment not correct and to try again, which is the same error I was getting for the cam crank relearn. My engine was up to operating temp when I tried. The trouble codes I am receiving are:
P0013 - Camshaft Position Actuator Exhaust Right Rear Bank 1 Malfunction
P0023 - Camshaft Position Actuator Exhaust Right Rear Bank 2 Malfunction
P0010 - Camshaft Position Actuator Intake Left Front Bank 1 Malfunction
P0020 - Camshaft Position Actuator Intake Left Front Bank 2 Malfunction
P1050 - Intake Valve Control Solenoid 1 Circuit Open
P1053 - Intake Valve Control Solenoid 2 Circuit Open
P1056 - Intake Valve Control Solenoid 3 Circuit Open
P1058 - Intake Valve Control Solenoid 3 Circuit High
P1059 - Intake Valve Control Solenoid 4 Circuit Open
P015B - Intake Valve Control Solenoid 4 Circuit High
I checked every connection I could see and they all appear to be tight, and there are no bent pins on the ECU harness or connector.
I reattached the ground wire from the passenger head to the firewall, is there another ground off the engine that I might have missed? (I had both heads off to do head gaskets)
