It’s all about the Rubi cut out that RokBlokz offers man. That is a slick little deal and the fit around the rails with the cutouts is fantastic. Good for them for creating a killer product.
@Geos7812

Only problem is, even with these installed the back flare/fender is still getting spray/pebbles/gravel thrown on them. To me that would be why I would install them on a 2 dr especially.

I'll pass on these.

Also, I'm not real thrilled with the look of them ..

And not to belabor the issue, but to have the logo on them sucks.... also and they are overpriced.

In time, I'm sure, a far better offering will come around.

I just got ready to post how disappointed I am in having to remove the fender liner, but I see someone has already figured it out. I will review and install the rears in that fashion. I love this Forum.

I installed the fronts today and gave them a Colorado testin’. It has been snowing a lot. Here is what the sides looked like before and after my joy ride. I would say it removed 3 of the 4 hinges from danger of rock chips.

I was hoping it would keep the ice from building up on the fender by the back door. After driving around in the snow last night the rear doors were frozen shut and I didn't want to mess up the paint trying to get it open.

@Rhinebeck01 The price is high for sure. I am happy to pay for the ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit of being first to market. I am happy with the fit, ease of install and overall package. Good luck finding something that will keep everything from hitting the flare. A non scientific look at my Jeep makes me think that the flap would have to terminate about 3 inches off the ground to make that work. A two door would be higher but would still be low enough to look ridiculous.

Stuff of the fenders is a “Jeep thing”!

Guess I wasn't clear/blatant enough.... but .... well, I would not install period, even if they protected the rear flare / fender.

I would rather have the rear flares / fenders repainted every year or two, rather then having those butt ugly things on my JL.

Yes, and they are also expensive, have a logo, and indeed do not do the necessary job.

Some may like them ... to each his own. I do not. Yuk.

I like it. I will try this next weekend. Did you have to mount up the flap, per the instructions and then install the fender liner as the last step or is there a special order of reassembly?

Thanks for figuring this out. I was not excited about removing that liner.
First the flap mount, cut and put the plastic liner and the last step the flap.

Sold on a front set of these after the last snow storm. Can't touch the side of the jeep without getting filthy. Kids climbing in and getting covered in mud (more than usual).

Anyone have any pix or insight on Regular size vs XL for 37" x 12.5" tires? Pic below from Rokblokz site claims these are 37" tire but its unclear if the wider XL is actually necessary or beneficial? I don't like how it sticks out past the fender but if that's what it takes...

I would like to think that the offset of your wheels might determine between the standard width and XL width flaps. The further the tires/wheels stick out, the further the flaps should stick out to perform what they were designed to do.

Get the XL if you want coverage and cleaner doors/rockers.

I’m running 35’s and I have the XL’s in order. Will post detailed pics when I get them mounted (waiting on rock sliders).

Gah, the only reason I want them is so the rear fenders stay somewhat clean and my kids don't get dirty climbing in and out. I couldn't care less about the hinges.

I installed front and rear last night, more involved than I expected. Like everyone else disappointed with the cream colored thumb screws and huge gap in coverage for the rear. I'll try cutting up the plastic this weekend. Overall though, I think they look good, hoping they work to keep the jeep cleaner.
If you're going to install yourself, wash it first, the fenderwells were pretty dirty. Also, if you've got a 3ft extension for the 16mm frame bolts it's a lot easier to break them loose from outside the wheel.

Gray flaps with orange logos installed. Quickest and easiest aftermarket install I've done so far. I think they compliment the Jeep nicely (though they probably could stand to be even a tiny bit wider)
