I went with the WeatherTechs for front only as I have several of their products on different vehicles and always happy with quality fit.

Was a little worried about busting them up, but no issues on the rocks so far. Cheaper and fit nice. Easy to install if you have a handy fork pry tool.

If they ever do get busted, I will migrate to the Rokblokz.
I got the WeatherTech mudflaps front and rear for my 2022 Sahara Altitude. The sides of the Jeep are not particularly splashed up, so I'm guessing that the front ones are working as I had hoped that they would. I did have a problem installing the back ones because there is a tab that is supposed to fit behind the lip of the rear bumper, but it does not engage the bumper, at least on the 2022 with the plastic bumpers. However, they have stayed on securely despite that tab's not fitting behind the bumper for a couple of months now, including driving through some moderately flooded intersections.

I bought the rears but decided not to install and returned them. Was more concerned with debris coming up from the front tires. Not much to protect aft the the rears.

Thomas Sowell the economist has a great observation that mudflaps are one of the few examples of something that one can do that benefits not oneself but those behind him (or her, of course). Perhaps mudflaps are thus quintessential altruism. (I cannot find the citation at the moment, so this is from memory.)

Don't know about your tribe, but in many other ones, it goes against the rules to run without rear mudflaps, on lifted applications with larger tires.

Think of it as driver etiquette, to those following behind you on the highway ?.

Hi,

You can modify the WeatherTech ones to fit with the Mopar Performance Rock Rails, same concept as what I've seen on other brands of flaps, just cut to fit.

Looks like you have OEM rubi steel bumpers… any issue with rear flaps fitment with WT?

Totally Agree. I'm stock with no lift. I will re-evaluate the rears when we do my 1.5in Clayton lift and 35s. Also looking at aftermarket rear bumper.

Hi,

Yes steel bumpers, had to trim corners of the rear plastic bumper extensions to get the rear flaps to sit correctly, nothing you can see afterwards, heard some didn't have a issue so not sure if there are different fillers but either way a easy fix if you have interference.

I had a lot of trouble fitting mudflaps. I have a Sport with stock fender flares, but I have Rubicon rock rails so I ordered flaps for a Rubicon. I had to improvise for some of the screw holes and hardware. I have no way of knowing how well the flares would fit on a stock Rubicon but I had to did into my hardware supply to make it work for me. They've been on there for many trips, troublefree, and they do work well so I think they are essential if you drive on gravel roads.

For folks who have the mopar performance rock rails

Another step in my quest to reduce mud splashes on the doors. After installing XR fender flare extensions, I still had some spray and looks like now it's mostly from the gap between the fender bottom and the mopar performance rock rails. Since there is no mud flaps that fit these rock rails without extensive cutting, I ended up doing a DIY mud splash - more of a gap filler - out of those thin universal mud flaps ($20 on Amazon)

I don't think this will get smashed off-road. It's very difficult to land on a rock that far up at that specific spot without avoiding the rail.

Installed the Weathertech mud flaps today on my Willys XR. As mentioned previously the XR flares metal rivets made it more of a challenge than I wanted. I only attached these with 3 screws instead of 4, and I had to drill a new hole in the mud flap for the 3rd one since they didn’t line up great with the XR flare.

I like the finished look of these, but if you have an XR and don’t want to drill any holes, I would suggest looking into other options.
