I agree, seems very low even with the issues others have previously pointed out.

Drive it how and at the speed you like. If it gets unacceptable mpg to you with your driving style, trade it for something you’ll fully enjoy.

Sounds like there is an issue. I have a 2023 Rubicon XR with 4.56 gears on 37x12.50r17 tires and I am averaging 20mpg. I only have about 500 miles on it and MPG will improve over time.

Prior I had 3 JLUR. 1 on 38s and another on 40s. They were averaging 17 or so with the 3.6 Pentastar.

Sounds like something is wrong. My 2-door Sport S started out at 18mpg and with almost 500 miles on it so far I'm already up to 21mpg. My commute is mostly highway where speeds range from 55-75.

Bottom out lol it’s at 13.6 now I’ll talk to the dealer but if this is what it is I’m definitely not keeping it has no value to me, I’d much rather just drive my truck at that point I’ll just let it sit and send it down the road in the summer and pick something else up for a toy
Something is wrong. That’s about 10% worse than my six with MOPAR lift and 37s, and that’s not right.

My brother has a 2019 JLUR with the 2.0. He’s running 37” KO2s with 488s and consistently getting better than 21 mpg hand-calculated (22 mpg on the lie-o-meter), and that’s in an extremely mountainous area with a home that’s about 1000 feet above the valley where all of his business has to be done. The Colorado winter blend costs him about 1 mpg.

I‘m curious to hear what the dealer has to say.

I love these mpg threads. They are on par with the TRX forums. ?

I used to get around 13-15mpg with pretty much all my Wranglers 2007 3.8, 2015 3.6, and 2018 3.6, the YJ was a noticeable pig on gas, the TJ didn't seem to bad, never really checked the mpg back in those days.

I drive sorta hard and the vast majority of my driving is city, mind you with JK/JL I got 22+mpg pure highway long distance.

I'm not easy on the throttle.

Well think about it a stock 2.0 that’s been babied thus far getting 13.6 wouldn’t you think something’s wrong, if this was a 5.9 or 6.7 Cummins or a 6.7 powerstroke I’d know what to look for but I don’t know gassers hence why I came here for info to have a legitimate argument at the dealer. Hell if this is normal I woulda bought a 392 or trx then at least you got the hp to warrant it lol

nah you’d be getting 7-8 mpg of 93octane in a TRX, ask me how I know?. My JLR gets 13-14 every day. That’s mainly rural roads.

If you drive a lot of low mileage round trips, trade in and get the 4xe, you have a few weeks left for the government grease.

Need opinions on something, I’m going to stop by the dealer but I pretty much know how that’s going to go lol. 2023 JLUR 2.0 non XR bone stock no off roading never even put in 4wd I don’t idle it just run back and forth to work about 60/40 highway/town in northeast PA hand calculated 13.6mpg seems to me something is wrong from what I read I should be seeing around 18 or so which would be great and why I bought the 2.0, possibly something wrong with it ? If this is normal I have no need for it I’d prefer to drive my 3/4 ton diesel anyway

Another thought, aside of the various described driving styles - with so few miles on it, I’m assuming you’re still within the engine break-in period. I may be old fashioned, however I pay close attention to follow prescribed recommendations for the first 500 miles. (Not exceeding certain RPM, not keeping RPM the same for extended time periods etc). I do believe it has longterm benefits.

I was told there was no break in
