I’m in the city of Boston. Traffic is brutal and we have red lights at every intersection.
my 2024 Willys gets 16MPG. I’m guessing I’m in just about the worse environment if you’re trying to get any mileage at all.
It may get better after the break in period. My 2007 JK does about the same

2024 4door Willys with the 2.0. Approx 2k miles and at 18.5 mpg with mixed driving.

I only have 1,200 mile so far on my 2024 Rubicon Unlimited. After 6 refills the average is 18 mpg the lowest city 16.2 and highest highway 20.1 mpg. In contrast my traded 2022 Willys 2 door with the 2.0L averaged 20.3 mpg after 21,000 miles.

We have under 1000 miles on our 2024 2 door Willys. Mainly city driving and now on our 3rd fill up. It's just now starting to get 18MPG, was 16MPG the first 2 tanks.

I’m right in the same range 18mpg if more city driving and about 19.5 if more freeway driving. I’ve got 2500 miles on mine. 2024 Willys 2 door 2.0L

2024 Willy XR getting 14.7 mpg. I only have 375 miles, 300 of which are driving back from the dealer. Everything else is street driving in Staten Island, in other words torture driving. Not sure how many out there experience speed cameras but ????? I’ve bought a few.

MPG can be fun to track but if your buying a jeep for the fuel economy your math is off.

So, I changed the oil from the oil filled by the manufacturer to Pennzoil Ultra Platinum. noticed that the oil level with manufacturer supplied oil was a bit over the full line on the dipstick. Now with 5 quarts of ultra platinum the oil level is right at the top of the full line on the dipstick.

just ran a full tank of premium unleaded after the oil change and the mpg is 21.5, 269 miles on 12.51 gallons.

The cliche response of "if you are concerned about fuel economy then don't but a jeep" is just plain stupid. MPG matters, no matter what vehicle you drive. I actually think its MORE important in a vehicle like a jeep because MPG determines RANGE. I guess maybe everyone saying MPG doesn't matter never leaves the city in their jeep so they are never far from a gas station. Personally if I am looking at a vehicle to go on adventures in range is one of the most important considerations as I want to be as far from services as possible. I am looking at a 24 Willys and will probably forgo the XR package because of its impact on range, not mpg.

If you're on the trails you should know your range before even hitting the trail. If you know it's going to be an issue you either refuel before or bring additional fuel. Out here people go to bumfuck Egypt and bring multiple jerry cans bolted to the rear of their rig just incase. As with all vehicles the slower you're going the worse your range is going to be. Can easily hit 12-15MPG average if you never hit the highway with the 2.0

If you're only worried about range you should be buying a sport for the smallest tires possible

I have over 4,000 miles and the average is 18 mpg. The highest 20 mpg and lowest 16.2 mpg I only run 91 octane.

You will never get an apple to apples comparison regarding mpg. So many variables: engine, gearing, wind resistance(lift), fuel, altitude, age of vehicle and it’s maintenance, outside temp, SPEED, driving style, traffic, rolling resistance of tires, fuel type (octane, ethanol, winter vs non winter blends). Without control parameters OPs question cannot be answered in a way that’s helpful.
