So, I changed the oil from the oil filled by the manufacturer to Pennzoil Ultra Platinum. noticed that the oil level with manufacturer supplied oil was a bit over the full line on the dipstick. Now with 5 quarts of ultra platinum the oil level is right at the top of the full line on the dipstick.I’m right in the same range 18mpg if more city driving and about 19.5 if more freeway driving. I’ve got 2500 miles on mine. 2024 Willys 2 door 2.0L
If you're on the trails you should know your range before even hitting the trail. If you know it's going to be an issue you either refuel before or bring additional fuel. Out here people go to bumfuck Egypt and bring multiple jerry cans bolted to the rear of their rig just incase. As with all vehicles the slower you're going the worse your range is going to be. Can easily hit 12-15MPG average if you never hit the highway with the 2.0The cliche response of "if you are concerned about fuel economy then don't but a jeep" is just plain stupid. MPG matters, no matter what vehicle you drive. I actually think its MORE important in a vehicle like a jeep because MPG determines RANGE. I guess maybe everyone saying MPG doesn't matter never leaves the city in their jeep so they are never far from a gas station. Personally if I am looking at a vehicle to go on adventures in range is one of the most important considerations as I want to be as far from services as possible. I am looking at a 24 Willys and will probably forgo the XR package because of its impact on range, not mpg.
