Nah. I use mine (driver’s side) quite frequently. Keeps you from banging your head on the door / window when wheeling hard. Place to put your left hand with just your right hand on the wheel.Thanks again for all the inputs, much appreciated. A little clarification. As the driver you probably don't need grab handles that often cause you have the steering wheel. The passenger, the wife, LOL wants them. She loves the Jeep and will go off roading with me and is looking forward to going more, but one request she had is the grab handles.
Honestly, I for sure can't blame her. The handle on the A pillar is fine for getting in and out, but if you are vertically challenged like a lot of our women are it is not so great to have to lean up and hold on to on trails. I like to have one there myself when riding shotgun, sometimes I just like holding onto it and letting my arm hang.
I do also think the drivers side one could come in handy if you want to pull yourself up and out the window to look at the trail or where your front wheel/end is.
