I picked up my 2023 JLUR XR from the lot. It was custom ordered by someone but he changed his mind. I have a good relation with the sales person and he immediately called me if I was interested and I bought it within the next couple of hours. Its a unicorn as it met all my requirements for a custom ordered XR. The window sticker shows that the original intended buyer ordered with Mopar CAI from the factory.
My new Jeep does not have the hood side vent nor did they send the part separately with other accessories. One thing different about my 2023 Jeep is the grill. It is like the Gladiator grill with wider/larger honeycomb openings than the smaller ones the Wrangers come with.
1. Is that grill due to that CAI option or is that standard for 2023?
2. Do I need to have the hood cut out or is that optional? Without the hood cut out, would the cold air intake be less than the standard/stock intake?
2. Since MOPAR CAI came installed from the factory, does it come with the stock/standard air filter or the re-usable one that is sent if ordered separately?
