I ordered a Mopar winch plate from @Northridge4x4. The sales rep was VERY helpful with locating a Warn Fairlead plate and offered to order the Warn winch plate kit for me at a good price. I just got the invoice for the winch plate this weekend and it says it is 82215182AB. I asked for and did expect a 82215182AC.
Does anyone know what changes were made between two?

I can't really offer any real help, I have no first hand experience with this part. However dealing with Mopar and my previous vehicle (challenger hellcat) I have seen the last 2 letters changed with model years. As in AB may be designated for 2018-19 where AC may be for 2020 year, even though parts are interchangeable and no real difference between the two. Like I said no idea if that's the case here or if there is an actual difference in the parts. Just what I have seen in the past with mopar. Best of luck

I asked a similar question to my Jeep dealer about the difference in Mopar Lift Kits, referring to the last 2 digits AB & AC. They said that refers to which factory the parts were manufactured from.

The winch plate arrived and it is the newest item.
I have to do this in bold letters....
@Northridge4x4 YOU GUYS ROCK!!!! Please tell Maxx a BIG THANK YOU.

:turkey::turkey::turkey::muscle::champagne:
Make sure you have a flex head ratchet and some wobbly extensions.

1. Follow the directions.
2. Install all parts, plate and bumper without winch and torque everything except L bracket bolts and inner bumper bolts and align the winch plate using the extra bolts through fairlead bolt holes.
3. Loosen L brackets partially so you can remove bumper but only loosen so the end of the bolt is flush with captive nut. Remove bumper.
4. Install winch and torque to spec.
5. Reinstall bumper, tighten inner bumper bolts the tighten L brackets using wobbly extensions. I used 3 wobbly extensions for a total of 19inches to tighten these.
6. Install winch fairlead last bolting through hawse, accessory plate, bumper and then winch plate. If you followed directions and pushed winch plate against bumper in step 2 then everything bolts up nice and tight.
7. Good luck threading the synthetic rope. I soaped it up real good, sat on the ground, placed my feet on the bumper and gave it everything I had to get it through.

I would not buy that story because they have modified the lift kits and a number of other items and as they modify they change the last two alpha digits. Also the the AC winch plate is about $60 higher in price.

Thank you Brian, Slightly embarrassed to say but for the sake of full disclosure, a CloakWorks (Metal Cloak) guy will be doing the actual installation at this point because they offered to do it for a price I couldn't refuse. :blush:

I don't blame you one bit. I was lucky and had a lift when I installed it which saved my back from working on the ground.

The AC is the latest version and is what Mopar is shipping these days.
